Best psychology professor at Chico State! Such a great teacher, when you ask him questions he doesnt make you feel dumb and is open to help you no matter what time it is. He tells you exactly whats on the test so there are no surprises. I wish he taught all the courses at Chico.

A somewhat difficult class but he organizes it well. Lectures and labs have different exams which ends up being 8 tests total. The lab tests are all open note, as well as the final lecture exam. One paper at the end of the semester. Lecture classes are irrelevant and attendance isn't required. He's a super nice guy who wants students to succeed

He is a great teacher that creates his own textbook that is clear to the point. If this is a mandatory class for you take this class with Dr. Herringer and you will pass no problem! No homework outside of class and he explains everything very well.

I am so lucky to have taken stats with him. He goes over a 'practice' problem before you do the homework, which is the same exact type of problem that you just went over. He reviews very thoroughly for exams so don't be worried taking stats with him.

One of the worst classes I have ever taken. His lectures are pointless! the first two weeks we maybe covered 3 slides on his powerpoint because he gets off topic. Then says "just go home and read the chapter" Half the stuff on the test, was not even touched on in class. He is so boring, if I even go to class, it is a fight to stay awake.

Takes everything one step at a time to make it easier. Sometimes it was a little too slow for me. So don't let the subject scare you! You can ditch class/lab without a point penalty, BUT if you go you WILL pass. He's always happy to help, and is a DW fan! The book was cheap and straightforward.

Dr. Herringer was so helpful! He truly cares about his students and is willing to work with you if you need help. He is slow to grade tests but that is my only complaint. I would say the easiness is between "the usual" and "easy A." If you're nervous about this class like I was take him, you won't regret it!!

Dr. Herringer is one of my favorite professors. He knows what he is talking about and he understands that we aren't all going to be statisticians. Sit in the front row, come to class, and participate, he likes when students try, and hates lazy students. He will help you if you ask, and he gives us a cheaper textbook that he wrote.

There are 3 exams and no homework so if you don't do well you're out of luck, the lectures are so boring, he gives out the study guide and lecture slides like 2 or 3 days before the exam so you have to cram for his exams, he takes ages to grade your 3 exams, and his study guides are so vague you have no clue what to study. I wouldn't recommend him.

Does not teach you anything and then is surprised when no one does well on the tests. Tests are your entire grade there are no assignments so you can't not do well on them to pass. Extremely boring lectures and he also takes forever to grade the test. His study guides are the laziest thing I've ever seen.

Professor Herringer is very dedicated in his desire to help students understand statistics. He teaches you what you need to know with what you have available (so he doesn't make you memorize silly formulas that the computer can do) and he really wants you to succeed. Instead of making us buy an expensive text, he creates his own cheaper version!

Great professor! He does power-points for class and will find short videos or cartoons that relate to the subject. He also posts the slides at the end of the week. GO TO CLASS! He does do role every class. If you can't make it, just let him know. He'll work with you if something comes up.

Dr. Herringer is a G. He knows his stuff and if you are not interested in the material, it will be tough to dig in deep enough to where he wants you to be. Be prepared to study. His tests are the hardest I have taken in the psych department. Extremely nice guy, but expects respect. Need the textbook. Need to show up on time and not leave early.

Dr. Herringer is hands down one of the best professors in the Psych department (and Chico has a good one), however he does expect his students to keep up their end of the bargain and come to class and pay attention. If you do that, you will learn a ton. He explains clearly, knows his stuff, and makes himself very available outside of class.

He is a nice teacher. Very fair. He is however extremely boring, and it is a very dry subject. Lab saves you. The lab tests are easy and I highly recommend doing as much extra credit as you can. That will also save you. It not an extremely hard class but it is difficult. Get a study buddy. And he takes attendance. Not a bad teacher at all

Herringer grades way too hard and is very boring. He is also very lazy. There is no homework, there are 2 pointless essays, and his study guides have nothing to do with his tests. AVOID THIS TEACHER.

Avoid this teacher!!! He grades way to hard on written assignments where the bad grade was not deserved. I literally felt like he had a pre-conceived judgment about everyone and grades them accordingly. Not interesting. I wouldnt be surprised if he enjoys failing students who aren't psyc majors. TERRIBLE.

The class was interesting but to be honest I found Herringer to be very dry. Its a lot of blah, blah. I had some questions a couple times & when Id go to ask him after class hed tell me he was to busy to help! He teaches stats as well & I did not want to take him again! He seems to busy & to have a lot on his plate. Took forever to get work back!!

I highly recommend Dr. Herringer, He tough and dry material in an extremely understandable way. He got straight to the point with his material; there was never any irrelevant information being taught. I feel like I got a firm understanding of the material and it wasn't nearly as miserable as I was expecting.
