Ken Mott is by far the greatest professor in the Political Science department, and perhaps the best at Gettysburg College as a whole. His lectures were engaging and informative, his personality is laid-back, and his assignments were straightforward and provided a good assessment of the skill of students. So sad he's retiring!

I left Gettysburg, but I am so grateful to have taken professor Mott. Amazing, funny and caring professor. Really cares about his students and wants everyone to feel welcome. I never felt comfortable on campus but I always did in his course. He's the best!

I LOVE DR. MOTT. I have taken a number of classes with him for my Political Science minor. Unfortunately, he is most likely retiring this year. Gettysburg College will be saying goodbye to easily the best professor at the school.

Ken Mott, while not the warmest professor towards his students, was a nice guy and a fairly laid-back person. This class was very casual in nature, and most of our assignments were in-class presentations. Textbook is not necessary whatsoever for this class.

Ken Mott is my favorite professor at Gettysburg College, by far. I took his first-year seminar and couldn't wait to take another class with him. He is super knowledgeable and instead of lecturing, his classes are very conversational. There are only three assignments though, so getting a good grade is difficult, especially as the work is tough.

Ken was an amazing professor. I did not learn much in this class however. Instead of lectures, the class was run by student presentations. It was a fun class, however, and when Dr. Mott did speak on the topic, he was very knowledgable. Always willing to help when needed.

Great professor and interesting low-stress first year seminar. There are not many assignments, and while assignments are sometimes vague, he will gladly clarify them. Mott genuinely cares about his students and wants them to succeed. He is extremely intelligent and willing to help students. You will get out of the class what you put into it.

Great professor! He only assigns three presentations, a term paper, and a final, but he wants everyone to get an A. The course wasn't much work at all, but I learned a lot. Prof. Mott has personal stories about everything related to politics, and listening to him talk is the best part of class. He really cares about all his students.

Professor Mott is the best! I thoroughly enjoyed listening to his stories--he's very knowledgeable and very connected! Take his class if you can. A lot of student presentations, and I learned a lot with out an overload of work. Looking forward to taking more of his classes in the future.

Ken Mott is my favorite professor at Gettysburg College. His classes are fun and interesting. Mott has a lot of experience in his field and even personal connections with several Supreme Court Justices. He often tells stories of his personal experiences. Given his terrific ways of telling stories, this is often the highlight of his classes.

One of the most knowledgeable professors in the department, and it shows in this class. Lectures are just that - he talks for the entire period, stopping only for reports and presentations. Not the easiest grader, definitely is specific on essay topics, and tests are all open ended questions. Haven't cracked the textbook open. Overall, a smart man.

Dr Mott is the man. He is like your cool grandpa that you want to spend all your time with. But just like a grandpa he can get off track and just start talking and telling you stories about having lunch with Supreme Court Justices or some other story that he will repeat many times. But he is a very smart man and you will learn if you listen to him

Not very helpful, though he has a great reputation as being "excellent". Mostly, he won't give much direction, and will expect you to figure it out. While this works in some classes, I've got to say it doesn't work for him.

Ken is a keen legal mind and a great man. He's the reason why Gettysburg got its act together in the early 90's and got the greeks to leave. Fair, loves a great argument and above all willing to teach.

Attention: Don't buy the textbook! This class is a great course for Pol Sci majors. It is relaxing, and 4 assignments all semester. No midterm. Final is a take home, 5 pgs. In class presentation/paper is difficult so take time to research. Always take classes with Mott. He is very fair, kind, and accessible.
