This was probably the hardest class I've taken in college so far. We were tested on information wasn't in his lectures OR the textbook. The high grade on every test was, at best, a very low B. He does not curve and does not explain anything clearly. This was a very frustrating class to take, I would NOT recommend it!

He seems to be a nice man, but he is shy and doesn't answer questions well. Sometimes I ended up skipping class because I did not understand anything he was saying. I read the chapters instead because they made more sense.

Exams are essay questions which leaves a lot of room for partial credit which comes in clutch. Great curve, easy labs. Nice guy who tries not to make things more difficult than they are. Tough part about the class is more than 70 percent of your grade comes from exams, chapter quizzes, and the final.

Always late for class, does not make it clear what he expects you to know for a test, gets mad when you ask him questions, Assumes you know things that you have no idea and will not explain to you when you ask. Overall a terrible teacher.

Easy class...just make sure you attend the classes. He grades fair plus curves the tests, the tests are pretty easy if you just go to class and really study the terms out of the book. For an average student with no chem knowledge, i did pretty well in this class. i recommend it to anybody! Also offers lots of extra credit if you just attend class!

Dr. Traxler is a chemistry teacher, a football coach, and he's from southern Minnesota. How can he rate any higher?
