Comment:

Dooley is hard. But he always had a point. He cares about LSU and the students and just wants us to be at our best. This results in long, hard homework (my group often worked together with multiple groups and still took hours upon hours to accomplish), and sorta hard exams. Good news is that he isn't a hard grader and isn't trying to fail anyone.

Terrible teacher and all around human being. Seniors aren't allowed to "Leave town". If you have a death in the family he does not care one bit. This man is horrible. Tenure is his only friend.

Comment:

Not the nicest guy in the world, but 1100 is extremely easy to pass. You either post notes on moodle or have an after class quiz. Dooley lectures maybe 2 times while the other days someone comes speak to the class. Extremely easy class, but Dooley does grade the notes pretty tough. Make sure you read his emails before asking him a question!

I have never had a teacher as depressing as Dooley . He really makes it hard to be motivated, especially since he yells and tells us more than half of the class wont make it through school. He grades hard, which I understand because its engineering we need to know the information, just wish he was more pleasant and maybe stopped being so negative.

Kerry Dooley is very mean. He sends threatening emails all of the time. He doesn't like to answer your questions. When he lectures he is very negative and bashes his students regularly.

Very strict. Attendance is mandatory because he checks via online homework or in class worksheets. Pass or fail class so you'll pass as long as you attend. He doesn't listen to any sort of excuses, even if legit. Easiest way to get by in this class is by flying under the radar and doing all homework. Don't leave early or come late. Or else...

Worst teacher I've ever had. Very mean and refuses to teach. Yells in your face, especially if there's other people around. He would be fired if he worked at a better school

Dooley knows his stuff better than any teacher in the department. His HW are strangely worded and solved in a way that is unique to his thinking (old school mathematical chemists). He WILL assign some numeric integration and programming. Ask him lots of questions - he may not respect your lack of knowledge, but he is also very helpful.

Just a big bully jerk in my opinion. This guy pulls you into his office for oral "quizzes." If he sees that you know the answer to a given question, he tells you to hush. If you don't know the answer, he lets you have it. Avoid if possible, but it will be tough to get through without taking him. Watch out for Bio-Reactor lab!!
