Great guy outside of class-he cares a lot, and puts a lot of effort into the organizations and projects he leads. As a professor, I'm not a huge fan, just because the lectures are at too basic a level, even if it is a 100 level course..

Haji is the best proffessor I've ever had. He is pretty open about new Ideas. He wants you to have first hand knowledge about things far far away from your bubble. He always starts with an exotic music video. Doesn't care much for deadlines. Easy A.

I don't understand why a lot of people think the homework assignment is hard. Each homework assignment has a title -for isntance you may have to write about realism. You usually have a chapter titled "realism" to read, and there will be lecture on the subject. You then give your opinion after you state the facts. I've always liked his style!

I took an online class with him. He was completely unhelpful. He changed the syllabus during the course. He gave no instructions for the papers other than page length and font size. He didn't reply to emails. He downgraded for using synonyms rather than the words he wanted to read. We began with 26 students and ended with 10.

Haji makes you think about things. His personal political preferences are definitely liberal but he is sure to present both sides and let you know when something is just his opinion verse something concrete. I enjoy hearing a fresh idea which Haji definitely has. No tests, just papers.

Haji IS opinionated, but he also provides ample, encouraged opportunity for others to share and explain their positions. He is very clear about his intent with each activity and supports student ideas in learning. He is an excellent professor!

He gives us a difficult homework assignment and then disppears for weeks at a time which leaves students puzzled and not knowing where to ask any questions. We were supposed to have movies while he was gone, but even that did not happen.

I love how when he first started out, that he said don't tell me that people WANT to be poor--no denial rationalizations here! He's a great open-minded instructor with interesting material, but man, that workload--a 200 class is more like a 500 class!

Haji can some times veer into his own directions...however He teaches with a way that could open up some minds. I don't find him particularly difficult...He did make us buy too many books i think...he could have got the point accross just as well with less

regarding Haji, he needs to stop being discrimatory towards those that are not his pet students. learn to be tolerant. quite being closed minded and one sided ( extremely liberal ). most major businesses dont like hiring whinny liberals , teach people for workplace not an idealouge. otherwise you are a good teacher.

First of all, Haji is a nice guy. However, the work in this class was grad level. I'd say it fell to over-ambition. Too much work in too short of a time. The movies were nice for a morning class, but it was low on content. Slow to grade, but entertaining.

Haji is easily misunderstood -- once you get used to him he doesn't seem unreasonable, as he is sometimed portrayed as being. If you put forth an honest effort, he'll reward it, but if you're coasting, don't expect to be coddled.

I think Haji is one of the coolest professors! He knows his stuff really well, and is not afraid to disagree! He is more relaxed than some professors, and I personally, really like that.
