Comment:

Dr. Walker is a super caring professor, she will do anything for you to pass. Her class consists of weekly online discussions, 4 papers and a midterm & final which are in class papers. She replies to emails super fast and will even critique your first paragraph for you ask. overall her class is tough but its Definitely worth it. Inspiring woman

This woman is great. She actually cares. I was scared to take this class at first but it ended up being one of my favorites! She is always there to help her students, and she replies to emails very quickly. She is a tough grader But you end up learning a lot because she coaches and is willing to help all her students.

I LOVE this woman. She is so caring and if you attend her office hours, she'll really tell you what you need to do to get better grades on the essays. The class consists of a discussion every week, four 3-5 page essays every few weeks (interesting topics), and midterm/final. Extremely interesting and she is amazing. TAKE HER!!!

The worst professor I have ever take at CSUN. She is very tough grader and she wants you to write the paper perfectly. She can't understand we are here to learn not to fail.

Comment:

Dr. Walker's consumer info course was probably one of my favorites I've taken at CSUN. Sure the pace is fast (for summer it was a 6 week session), but you get used to it. She responds quickly and is extremely helpful with papers and discussions. Easy A if you keep on top of everything. The subject matter of the class was also super relevant.

I took this course during summer and it was extremely fast paced. Overall i loved the class and learned so much. You write a lot of papers and she does want everyone to speak out in class and share their opinions, but she is very accessible. Although it was a lot of work i do not regret taking this course.

Dr. Walker is disliked by many in DNCBE and acts like a primadonna. Avoid her if you can but, if you have to take her, make sure to read and study on your own as her lectures strictly focus on her talking about herself.

I would highly recommend Professor Walker! She is caring, funny and very down-to-earth. I noticed comments about how she talks about her life, but she incorporates her experience in a fun way. She makes this class very fun and enjoyable all while learning about a very interesting topic. Would definitely take her again!!

Just dont. I wanted to take her class because she was part of the marketing club at CSUN but what a mistake. Dont get me wrong, I learned a lot. But she talks about herself all the time and at the beginning its cool but then, around mid semester, it gets unbearable. She says she only shares things related to the class but thats not true.

The best professor. So sweet, always available, cares about her students. Yes, she is a tough grader, but students should be more advanced at writing at this point, anyway. Could not recommend her enough -- You will work harder than other classes, but trust me, it's for your own betterment.

I am convinced she thinks her class is the only one you take for the semester. She has papers due the same day discussions are due. Very tough grader! Says she gives feedback but there's barely anything on the paper she gives back. A lot of information to take in, about handling information.

Professor is excellent. She know her stuff and is actually quite funny. She has a brilliant mind and expects you to learn how to swim by throwing you in the water. It works. You learn so much about marketing and what to do. Her style is different and can seem unguided, yet you will do just fine if you do the work.

Before this class, I was intimidated to take her since I read all of the reviews below. She is honestly one of the most caring professors. You will definitely learn a lot from this class. It is a tough class with lots of writing, but you're in university... what do you expect? I wish I could have taken more courses with her.

She is very sarcastic and I think it's funny, and to be honest, I really enjoy her class. BUT she grades wayyyyy to hard, like seriously the hardest I have ever seen. Plus, she doesn't even give feedback so??? I would give her a 5 if she gives feedback or she just grades like a business professor, not an English professor. Anyway, you learn a lot.

She's a REALLY tough grader. It's all about writing essays. She took off points for multiple sections of the rubric she gives with no circling or explanation as to why those were taken off so harshly. This is an ethics class that can be simply summed up into 2 chapters, it's really dragged on. Not clear on what exactly she wants.

I found Dr. Walker to be full of it. She encourages students to ask questions and meet her during office hours, but belittles you. She makes snarky, sarcastic comments and seems to think she's a comedian. If you are not a strong writer, you will fail miserably in this class. You must attend class, and you should seek help elsewhere if you take her

You have to earn your grade in this class. Make sure your writing is strong, if not get help. Please, please go to her office hours and send her your paper before turning it in. Overall very interesting class. She is pretty funny and sarcastic, I enjoyed her humor.

This class is consisted of mainly papers, if you are not great at writing papers I do not suggest you take this class. I personally found the class interesting and easy to manage with 6 other classes. You have 3 papers, 1 midterm (which is paper) 1 final ( which is a paper) and two smaller assignments. Attendance is mandatory. EC is offered.

She is one of the best professor I ever had, she is funny, caring, and giving out really good feedback, so make sure you read those feedback. You do have to work for your grade, but nothing bad, the work load is very reasonable, she always reminds students when the project is due. Funnest class ever !!!
