Laura Gabrion is the professor whom I hope to emulate one day! She is very caring and she always puts forth her best effort for her students. I was super sad to see her go but getting to have her at all was enough. She discusses the text with you and is willing to listen to any different ideas. If she ever teaches again at Macomb take her classes!

Professor Gabrion is awesome. She is extremely helpful and keeps the class interesting. If you have the opportunity to take her class, do it. Her online class involves 3 essays 1 research paper, 5 quizzes and 4 tests.

Very good instructor! Fast paced since it was online -- the MLA reference book I didn't use at all. But you need the text for the rest of the class. Very approachable and helpful instructor.

this is the prose fiction class. you read a few books, talk about them, and write papers. she is really a nice person and has a good sense of humor. she will go well out of her way to find information for papers for you if you are stuck. her exams were super easy, just read the books and sparknote them if they're hard to understand. great teacher!

Very helpful, friendly and easy going. She provided quizzes but did not always make it known, so attendence was necessary. I would recommend her to anyone, especially those who struggle with English.

Prof Gabrion is wonderful to study under. Her attention to details, organization, inclusion of creative projects, and sunny disposition makes every class enriching and enjoyable. Child's Lit turned out to be so much better than I imagined it could be. I even managed to write a picture book; something I?ve only dreamed about doing for 15 years ;).

Took her over the summer, and i really enjoyed the class. We read more great literature then i did in my american lit class, and she was very helpful in all aspects of the class. You should take her if you get the chance, she is really a joy to have as a teacher.

Basically amazing.I loved going to class, even in the summer which is hard for any student.12 wk class so A LOT of work, but she knows each students level of writing and works with you.Just an awesome prof who actually cares.

Prof Gabrion is simply awesome. I almost dropped this class as it is an advanced, and difficult, English class - but she convinced me to stay. She is an extremely helpful, motherly type woman and helped me get an "A" which I am still amazed about. I HATE English, but she made the class very enjoyable. I highly recommend her.

Professor Gabrion was a great composition teacher, her requirements were made very clear. The papers were fairly easy to write and I always got something between an A- to B+. It was very hard for anyone to write a paper and get anything higher than that. The one and only test is the mid-term which is pretty easy too.

I had Prof. Gabrion last semester and really enjoyed her class. Prof. Gabrion actually made me fall back in love with writing. I am now going to school for education, to teach English. I owe her much thanks for the inspiration. If you want to enjoy this class take her class!!!

I had her for childrens literature and she was an awesome teacher. very helpful, funny, and really works with you. a couple small projects, you read quite a few childrens books over the semester but its so easy. she grades nicely and it is an impossible class to fail. take her!
