Amazing teacher, very intelligent and always inspirational. She really cares about the subjects she teaches. Gives you the quiz questions ahead of time and is a fair grader. I highly recommend taking her.

One of the most interesting classes I've ever taken. She made the material come alive and turned otherwise boring material into intriguing lectures. She was the best teacher in Stockton's MAHG program.

Funny professor who always has interesting things to say. I thought her class was easy and non-stressful, but I did learn a lot. You do have to study for the exams, but there are also many extra credit opportunities.

Professor Hussong is great! This class is very interesting and she is a wonderful professor. There is a lot of reading and information but as long as you read and know your stuff you'll be in good shape. Definitely a great GIS to take.

She is so sweet! The midterm was tough, but if you study, it's not bad. The papers aren't that bad, and if you get less than an A, you can resubmit them. She gives little reading quizzes that are no big deal and if you have an A in the class you don't have to take the final.

CHL: Awesome prof, awesome class. Lets you have another go at your essays if you do bad the first time. Knows everything--super smart. Have to do the reading, tho, she quizzes.

She is egotistical. Talks about how she never gives busy work but its all she ever assigns ex. the journals assignment(after midterm). The amount of reading is way above average. 2/3 of the midterm was on journals which we spent 20 min on. Changed final to take home but was 8 page paper due in 4 days. I didn't learn much. she grades fair though.

Be prepared to read and don't expect to BS your way through this class or any of her classes. One of the best Professors I have ever had. She is also available to help students and it very understanding if you need help. I would recommend her to any one, I would take any class taught by her. A fair grader, not that easy, but easy enough.

An absolutely wonderful professor! She doesn't give a lot of work, but its important to keep up with the reading and answer the focus questions for your own benefit when taking the tests. I found the work to be a piece of cake! The quizes are just to keep you on your toes, so don't worry about that. I loved taking this course

Comment:

Families in Genocide was an awesome class. Prof Hussong is the perfect teacher for teaching it. She has a great backround all about the subject and material. Class is 4 tests, small paper, and a report at the end. Most of the grading is based on group work. The only thing bad was we had to photocopy all magazines and books, there was no book.

Excellent teacher! although its alot of work, getting an A in the class is not that hard. 2 papers, 4 quizzes, 3 exams, 2 movies, participation points and you get to read books like matilda and pippi longstocking. highly recommend if you need a GEN.

This class is very interesting and Prof. Hussong is wonderful. She will help you in any way shape or form, just come to class and participate, and at least read some of the books in class. She even stayed late 3 nights in a row to help me out while she was having back problems and needed surgery in a week. She is amazing!

Prof. Hussong is a very interesting prof. I loved the children's lit. class. She made it interesting with in depth discussions. If you are considering the STEP program, you want to take her class. She gives you lots of insight on literature. Lots of reading, but books you will use in the future
