One of the best philo profs I've had, extremely difficult class and lectures were hard to understand at first. Ask questions directly to her both in and outside of class, and pay close attn to the revisions she makes on your drafts. We didn't get through all of the philosophers.

Extremely underrated professor in Hunter, most people warned me from taking her, but I needed the requirement anyways. When you participate, do the readings (which aren't THAT bad), and ask unique questions, you'll automatically be on her good list. She's very harsh with her revisions, which actually helps you make your final paper perfect!

The class is difficult. Several short writing assignments, two papers and a final essay exam. She is a difficult grader on the papers and gives a lot of feedback. But she does give you the option of rewriting them for a higher grade. The lectures are good. She explains everything well. My only complaint is that we didn't get to do Berkeley.

She is excellent in terms of giving clear and concise information. Prepare to read the papers and homework's rely on it. She wrote five books on the syllabus and we used all five.

Lectures are a little dry, but Prof Keating knows her stuff and really helps you understand the material. Readings are targeted, so make sure you do them. She is a tough grader but allows revisions and her feedback is detailed and helpful. She is also lenient with deadlines. There were 3 papers, 1 with required revision, and no in-class exams.

Loved Professor Keating. She really makes you work for your grade though, but is worth taking. She is the most like a college professor I've ever had (in terms of quality) and it is clear why she is the head of the philosophy department. Be careful with your wording-- she is looking for precision at all times, which is refreshing.

The most confusing professor period. I dunno how she's charge of the philosophy department. I left every class scratching my head...aren't professors supposed to CLARIFY concepts?

i dreaded her class so much. i wanted to drop it. she can be very incomprehensible and hard to understand, because she panics and she doesnt know how to clearly express what she wants to say. A HUGE WORK LOAD. 8 writing assignments, 3 major papers, revisions. philosophys not for me, but if you like it, then take it. shes nice though

Follow her assignments u won't regret it (guaranteed A). I loved her because she makes sure that you understand and very understanding.

A good and devoted professor. She gave us the questions before the exams (which didnt make it easy). Everything she requires of you was covered in class. Not too hard as long as you do whatever she demands. She is a very nice person and an interesting professor.

She's a great prof. Speaks clearly, great lesson strategy. But she covers EVERYTHING in one semester. After you take her class, don't bother registering for 275 or 375, u'll know it. Her tests ARE fair, if you study and get the subject, they are really easy. I got an A- in her class, but I worked for it!! Take her if you want to learn, not for an A

Took both Modern Phi and Theory of Knowledge with her at the same time. It was difficult, because she assigns a lot of work and her classes are challenging, but I would do it all over again. I learned so much in both of her classes, and her love and passion for what she taught rubbed off on me. Excellent professor, the best of my college career.

The most demanding of Hunter philoopshy teachers. Harsh grader, totally unyielding. But, you will know everythig about the subject after taking her course. Nice woman. Has an odd tendency to begin screeching when making certain points.
