Comment:

I would recommend her for any class, but especially personality psych. She is AMAZING. I cried from laughing so hard in so many of her classes. She is hilarious, the tests are VERY straight forward as long as you to class, she gives you the answers sometimes and you learn a lot. Her lectures are like comedy shows or story telling. Highly recommend!

Comment:

Dr. King is an amazing psychology teacher but it is obvious that she's also an amazing person. It's easy to see her passion for psychology and her lectures are some of the most engaging I've ever heard. It's important to show up to class but you will want to because she's so funny and down-to-earth. I highly recommend!

Honestly, she isn't just a professor, she's a comedian, researcher, and parent of all of her students. The best professor I've ever had, and I highly recommend her as a teacher. Very easy grader. Loads of opportunity to get an A, and she accepts late assignments. If you want an easy class for your GPA, take one with Dr. King. You won't regret it

Easy class with relatively easy tests. Class graded on tests only. BUT class is exhausting if you don't like story time She has a story example for everything and it's time consuming and boring if you're not into that mode of teaching. Otherwise it is a good course and relatively interesting Not too book heavy; she has you read a few pages per exam

LITERALLY SO AWESOME! She is so funny/nice/laid back/and cool! She is very passionate about her work and is very good at teaching it. Kept interesting with adding stories about her own life. I was completely in love with the subject after taking this class. If you get the opportunity, take one of her classes, do. You won't regret it.

Dr. King is the ideal psychology professor! She kept me awake and interested at 8am when I didn't think that was possible. She knows her stuff and has a big passion for it which was great to see. Her personal stories are amazingly funny, I'd highly suggest taking Psych 1000 with her. She's also very willing to help.

Intro to Personality was amazing. Laura King kept an 8 a.m. class interesting, and I was always a little disappointed when I over slept. If you go to class every day, you really don't need the book and she has a really forgiving grading system.

Dr. King is a very sweet person and very funny! Also, she shows her true emotions a lot, so don't be shocked if she cries in class (she cried about 4 times in ours). Make sure you attend class and take notes of everything she talks about that aren't on the Powerpoints. Otherwise, class is a breeze. She offers TONS of extra credit.

Awesome teacher, favorite professor ever. Made the subject matter interesting. Very intelligent, too. You can drop a test, so if you do good on the first four, you don't have to take the fifth. I had her for Intro, too, and loved her. She really cares about what she teaches. Great story teller, too. You won't be bored in lecture.

Dr. King is great! Her examples are really funny and relate well to the material. I didn't even mind going to class at 8 a.m. because the class was so engaging. One of the best professors at MU; take her class if at all possible! She gives lots of extra credit, too.

Great teacher. Makes even the dullest of subjects interesting. I had this class at 8 am and I didn't fall asleep once. Gives out extra credit for each test and it brings your grade up a lot.
