Lectures were terrible. She bounced all over the place with her material. Ran class late. Assignments that we did weren't discussed in class. She graded super behind, like one assignment every 6 weeks. The quizzes were stolen material from online so you didn't really learn anything. Reading the textbook makes you an overachiever in this class.

Comment:

Blunsom is one of THE worst professors at MSUM. Her lectures are extremely long and very boring. Finally she told me I could do an extra paper for credit, at the end of the semester, to help me pass, and after I did it she refused to reply to my emails about whether I was good and I ended up failing. Terrible. Have to have a C to move on.

Dont take this class. online classes are hard but she makes them terrible. The class is 3 weeks long and she expects 10-2 page papers, 12 worksheets and 10 quizzes and reading 20 chapters on top of your daily life. I have emailed her a few times, no response. Dont take this class if you can avoid it. First class I have failed in my life.

She is the WORST professor I have had yet in my college career. She makes everything confusing. She grades on how well you "grown" over the semester, so you never know how well you are doing. She asks one question, but expects you to answer other things she never listed. DO NOT TAKE. you will regret it.

Majority of the class is failing. Expects you to take difficult quizes before instructing you on the subject you are quized on. Teaches you the subject after the quiz not before.No matter how much you study, you feel like it is pointless because you will do bad anyways.

She needs to understand that WS 420 is an online class. Learning this stuff on your own is not that easy. Also, I don't know why she grades reaction essays so hard when she only gives us a short video to work with. On top of that she takes off points for stating your opinion even though she asks for that in the directions.

Pretentious feminist that doesn't have a great vocabulary. She marked down my paper for a word that she should know. She grades harshly and is subjecting the class to videos that brainwash you into thinking all men are pigs and all women are helpless and hopeless unless they unite. Singles you out and brings her personal experiences to the class.

She knows music history rather well. She uses very standard texts and materials. Her teaching method, however, is difficult to get used to. You get a test, AND THEN you get lectures on the material. I still haven't decided whether I agree with it or not. Take this class if you're open-minded, otherwise you'll just complain all year long.

She definitely knows a lot. Our tests are on the textbook but we do not talk about the textbook in class. At the beginning of the semester you get to choose as a class how things will be graded. She is really really nice and willing to give points back if you argue them.
