If you go into that class open-minded, you will learn a lot! He does talk a lot and give stories, many students will be like "what the heck is he talking about?" But his stories are examples of the notes from his lectures. The online study objectives are great for prepping for tests, and he lets you retake the exam if you did poor. Great professor!

Rambles constantly. It's unbelievably difficult to actually pay attention because of all of his useless rants. Pay attention to his study quizzes online and there's no need to even go to the class. Slightly offensive and boring. Doesn't even teach you what'll be on the test...that's all online though. Lets you retake every test, so that's a plus.

Mr. Hunter lent me a book so I would not have to purchase one and I found that to be very helpful. I received all A's on the tests the first time. He did say offensive things in class but that doesn't mean it was his personal opinion, the class is titled social problems so you do have to deal with some sensitive subjects.

Dr. Hunter is very straightforward. Follow his studyguide online and you will do fine. If you don't, you have a test retake for every test (very fair). That being said, he can be VERY offensive and i feel sorry for the minorities in his class. If you listen, he can make the topic interesting.

Ok, this class was really easy. A ton of people hated Dr. Hunter, but I really enjoyed him. I was one of four students in the class to get an A, and I can truly tell you that i learned a lot from him. He gives four tests, and if you do bad you can retake them. TAKE THIS CLASS IF YOUR A LIBERAL.

Horrible teacher. If you have to take the class take it with Ponnesse. Hunter is very unorganized and mixed up. Stuff on tests are not covered half the time and are not in the text either.

I don't think I've ever learned so much in any other class!I didn't like his personality but I thought he brought to awareness the problems in society efficiently.The knowledge I've gained from this class,I'll undoubtedly carry with me.It's good to be aware of the injustices as well as the opportunities available to us &that's exactly what he does.

If you show the slightest interest this class is easy. All the multiple choice test questions come from his lecture guides. Read the assigned chapter and review the notes and you'll pass. And the final is all questions from pervious tests. Dr. Hunter can be a bit depressing but lights up when he finds a student who isn't totally closed minded.

I took his honors class, and although I at first hated the class, he just takes some adjusting and flexibility. There are many people that overly opininated and once you get used to that about him, you just let it slide. He was goofy and very unique which made the class interesting, Social Problems is a very Liberal subject,so that's what you get.

I don't know what some of these people are talking about because this was the easiest A that I've ever earned! The tests are cake and he lets you retake them if you want to. Yes he's eccentric and I didn't agree with his opinions but at least it's entertaining. If you really want to amuse yourself just get in a debate with him and watch him squirm!
