Comment:

Lectures about everything except the material. Longest assignments I've ever had. It's an online course, so the assignments tell you what level they are. 70-80% are in the hard category. Take that times 18 problems is about an hour each on content that I have to teach myself. I could pick up a book and do the same thing and save $1,300.

teaches like one exercise in his class periods and assigns homework on stuff he never even discusses in class. So basically you got to teach yourself the homework. Homework is several hours of work for every chapter also. take him if you want to teach yourself accounting and have a lot of hard homework and tests. wish i took a different prof tbh

Overall, I did not think the class was too difficult. Read chapter, watch lecture, not too much hw. The tests were T/F and multiple choice with the questions coming from the test bank that goes with the book. However, I never wanted to ask him a question because he would call people out for every question and belittle them.

He needs to show how smart he is. How he has everything figured out.He will take things out of context just prove something wrong. Ego issues true. Probably because he is divorced all he has is his classes for socializing. He does know a lot about accounting, out side of that he has said a lot of dumb things thinking he is sounding intelligent.

Comment:

There's a difference between teaching and trying to impress students with one's wealth of knowledge. This guy leans toward blowing minds. Ties together concepts on his exams without giving students the opportunity to tackle similar problems before hand. There's definitely an inconsistency between the level he instructs at and his exam problems.

A real wise ass and totally full of himself but very accurate in everything he teaches. despite his strange methods he was an incredible instructor.

Korte is an awesome professor! I'm not sure why that other guy had a problem. He is more than happy to answer any questions via email or notecards or just in class if you prefer. He really explains things and relies on the class to actually do their work. He will ask you questions during class. He gets you to think beyond the text, which is great!

If you have any other option than Korte take it. Teaches way over your head. Clarity sucks, professors are to clarify, not make it harder to understand. This dude wears an all black suit as if he were powerful or something.
