Comment:

Hartwick's best English Professor. I've had her a couple times and no professor's passion matches her's. She's EXTREMELY engaging and has a loud teaching style that always gets attention. Uses modern slang and references which enhances learning. Love her, will never forget her lectures.

I love Darien! She pretends to be a hard-ass but once you get into upper level classes with her you become wise to her threats. Very loud, very energetic. Old English is easy if you study.

While Darien is a decent teacher, she doesn't respect the students who are there to fulfill a requirement rather than because they actually want to be there. She gets angry if you don't like the subject matter, which isn't fair. You should be judged on the quality of your work, not your opinion of the class.

Darien is probably one of the best professors in Hartwick! She's awesome! She's highly passionate about her teaching and is extremely enthusiastic. She's tough, but it's well worth it to be in one of her classes. She's totally crazy (in a good way), just don't insult Beowulf, Shakespeare or Chaucer and you'll be fine.

Lisa Darien is the most bad-ass professor on the face of the planet. She is a great educator, a better friend and she has single handedly kept diet coke on the market. I mean, how many proffs do you know that hold poker nights at their house, get invited (and show up!) to parties and spend their free time talking about vikings? She is awesome.

I have had Darien now for three classes. I like her as a person. She is very interesting. However, she is also a crazy teacher. She is a prettty hard grader, and alot of of her lectures are rambles, and i think uninteresting. She is tuff, and has alot of potential since she is so smart, but I dont think she knows how to teach very well.
