This teacher has no idea what she's doing I recommend nobody take this class with this teacher teaching the class. She has no idea what she's talking about. She had to correct herself several times. If you would like to actually learn something I recommend you do some research and find a professor that's capable of doing their job.

Comment:

Just retired and is part-time, and has gotten so much better. Only two dropped, over 1/3 of the class got A's. She is much clearer, and helpful. The tests are hard if you don't understand her examples. Good teacher!

In order to get an A, you must study a lot, maybe 1-2 hours a day. She is not super clear, but she is very helpful. Go to SI to clarify things. Keep on top of all work and follow the syllabus when you get behind. It will save you trouble later on. Don't give up, this is a study, study, study class.

I would not recommend Liz Smith to anyone. I would come out of her classroom not understanding a thing. I went to all her tutoring sessions and even asked her after class if there was anything I could do to better my grade for test taking and I still got a D+! It's almost like she wanted me to fail. She gets off topic and cannot teach in the least.

The people commenting below have probably never been to a 4 yr. school where sciences are SO hard ... Mrs. Smith is way better! She helped me whenever I asked for help even on days she had off. If you didnt ask for help or review then you shouldn't be commenting obviously your gonna be confused its chemistry! Mrs. Smith is 1 of the best NCC has! :

My only complaint is that she jumps around way to much and is unclear on things. The notes and books were not helpful at all. My best bet was tutoring and the exam keys she hands out for review.

I love Mrs. Smith she is always there to help and has a great sense of humor. She is the best chemistry teacher I have ever had. She actually is one of the best I have had at NCC. As long as you take time to learn the information you are good to go.
