Class is mandatory, and if you miss a class because you're sick, no doctor's note or anything will save your grade. She posts random assignments on D2L, so always check online. Yes, even 5 minutes before class. Be prepared to work hard and do lots of group projects with lots of out of class work. If you can get another professor, don't take her.

Miss Loretta took this freshman seminar class too seriously and made the course much more difficult than needed. I expected this class to be easy when going into it but it was far from that, her work load was ridiculous and unnecessary. she expected WAY too much on presentations and she graded extremely harsh on all assignments and projects.

Her tests were very subjective. She expected a lot in presentations. She made her assignments difficult when they weren't. She didn't really explain things well. Grading was kind of on point. She's okay.

VERY time consuming class. She gives a lot of assignments and has high expectations for presentations. Regret that I took this class because if affected my grades in other classes because of the amount of work she asks for. Way too hard for a freeman seminar class

This professor is very picky and at times disrespectful. Out of all of my classes this year, this one was by far the most time consuming. It is a lot of work. Not quite sure how I made an A because she is never clear on assignments and gets mad when you ask her to clarify. Do yourself a favor and take a different professor if at all possible.

Worst teacher/class I have ever had. She isn't clear on instructions, adds work to assignments and then DOESN'T tell anyone, and to top it all off she is disrespectful. In order to make a good grade in this FRESHMAN class, you have to be a professional public speaker. (Which I am not) She acts like this is the most important class you will take.

This teacher is a hard teacher. She marks things wrong, but gives no explanation on why its wrong. Very time consuming for no benefit. Very hard to get an A. For this class, you must have good presentation skills. Very strict on attendance and also not good at keeping updated grades.

Prof Garrett is unrealistically demanding and rigid. You will be counted absent and receive a zero for that day (major presentations included) if you do not arrive within the first few minutes of the class start time regardless of circumstances such as work commitments or illness. Grading is very tough and she'll count off for even minor things.

I took her class and she was very rude at times. she is not the easiest person to work with. She can make the class hard at times. I got a b out of her class, but I would not take her again. If you do your work and do it exactly like she says you should be ok. She is very very picky.
