I don't usually write this stuff but she managed to get on my every nerve. She is disorganized, unclear and confused. She almost lost our assignments and had to cancel a project two weeks after assigning it as she realized the museum she told us to visit was in VENICE. She practically drove us crazy and the only thing she tested was my patience :)

She's very eccentric old woman with amazing industry experience. She isn't always super clear with due dates and the assignments but she is lenient with hand in dates as long as you are a good student who is coming to class and she can see an effort. She goes off on these inspirational talks during studio - she's a cool lady with great experience

She's a nice lady in general but just isn't a good teacher. The good thing about her is that she'll let you hand in assignments late, and she wont deduct a grade. And she is all about gouache. Also you get to do the projects in class so don't worry much about it. also don't buy the textbook, we literally only used it twice so just share or rent.

Just avoid this teacher at all costs. Will assign work until the last minute and doesn't care if the project is due the next day, she will pile on more work in addition to the original assignment. Was not helpful during critiques, yet her classes were 3 hours long and consisted of only critiques. Avoid her if you actually want to learn.

First off, studio skills is the most useless and time-consuming core class here at FIT. That being said, having an instructor like Puro makes it that much more frustrating. Her techniques are completely outdated (she showed us student work from 1985) and she tends to confuse her students as well as herself. All this stress for 1.5 credits.

Professor Puro is a very nice woman who is always willing to help in any way she can. With that being said, her assignments are generally vague and unclear. if you ask her to explain them further she can't. This makes the class a bit more stressful than necessary. it helps to have contacts in the class so you can all discuss the assignments.

Very boring, unclear, and last but not least lost one of my projects and claimed she didn't yet she never gave me a grade on it? Very upset that I had this teacher and everyone in our class has tried to avoid to have her again. Worst professor I've had at FIT by far.

I had her for Color Workshop. First of all. She confused the whole class about the percentages and was very nit picky about colors to the extreme. You can't go around painting a color chart. it's a specific way she likes it. I ende up with a B doing all the work and 3/4 of hw that was from the textbook. Yes you do need the book. She's nice..kinda.

Ban De Soleil for that Levittown Tan. OHMYGOD. 3 hours, two times a week listening to her dictate (BADLY) from her messed-up notes which she copied directly (BADLY) from the most boring text known to man. Our final 60+page book was done ON OUR OWN and due before even studying the stuff. Deliver Me.
