Rosemary is a hoot! She doesn't put up with anyone's attitude and expects you to show up to class and participate. If you're a responsible student, you will do well. I want to be just as spunky and full of vinegar when I'm her age!!!

You must show up. You will do a lot of group work. Get involved and ask questions. Take good notes and you will not have to use the text book much but it is all in there. The two big group assingments are not too hard, but you are doing a research paper for the second one, know MLA. Take ENGWR 300 before or at the same time as this class it helps.

Listen and do what Professor Selland asks and you will do just fine. She is very helpful, more thanmost Professors, when it comes to soliciting help outside of class. I'm very glad I took this class.

This has been my favorite class so far. She is a great teacher. If you show up and participate you will do fine. The majority of the class you will be expected to participate in a group format.

Very helpful, very old fashioned. Kind of dorky, but it makes her endearing. Knowledgable and helpful, sometimes expectations are a little unclear or changed middle of the road. I enjoyed her class. I don't agree with her grading policy, 90% should be an A, not a B.

This woman was a holy terror. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. If this is your last class before transfering... WAIT. She was overly rude to certain students in my class. Plus her grade guidelines are high you must get a 93% to get an A. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS !!!! PLEASE LISTEN!!!

I just finished this class, and my suggestion is... DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. She grade extreamly hard you must get a 93% to get an A, 83% for a B, so on. She grades the papers worse than an English 300 class. VERY VERY RUDE!

i just finished this class and i have to comment on it. professor selland is amazing. her lectures are ridiculously boring, but she's hilarious and i wouldn't have taken her class any other way. half of your grade is group work, the other half is individual. take this for your speech req. you wont regret it

Oh man! She is HILARIOUS! best experience I have had with a teacher by far. I loved her class! Only thing she is tough on is presentations and papers, but follow her outline and guide lines...you pass with flying colors! only 2 tests and the final was wow, easiest final of my life! she is awesome! Totally take her for group speech!

Selland is really rude and overbearing towards her students, she purposely sets up conflict in the class and relates it to group concepts, which is really frustrating. Her tests and papers are too literal and unclear. She won't help students even when she is wrong and puts too many points towards the group work rather than the work indivusals work.
