Comment:
Absolutely the worst professor I've had at Pomona. His class is disorganized and has no structure. He doesn't assign you any work and later gets angry at you if you ask him about it. Very vague and his lectures are not informative in the slightest bit. Looks nice enough based on appearance, but actually is very rude and short tempered.

The WORST professor I've had at the 5-C's. He does not explain things well at all and he's very boring! AVOID!

Possibly the worst professor I've ever had at Pomona. So many better anthro professors at the Claremont Colleges. He is very unorganized, really bad explaining things, not engaging. Topics are boring. Assignments are unclear. Very rude and unnecessary critiques. Don't Language thought and culture from him. take at pitzer!

I took Language Thought and Culture with Lynn. There was a ton of reading assigned but you never really had to do it. There were very few assignments to turn in all semester, just two 6-8 page papers. I did virtually nothing and got an A. He's very knowledgeable, but not the best at articulating points. Slightly boring, but with some good material.

I took cultural anthro in 1983 from this prof. A big mistake. I still remember the scathing, condescending comments written on my returned papers. My first taste of academic ego as a freshman.

AVOID. a nice person and fine to talk to, but as a prof, he's awful. goes off on irrelevant tangents, disorganized, abstract, philosophical beyond reason, does not know how to engage students in the material.

A very friendly man and very helpful. I took the class to fill a requirement- so I wasn't too enthused with the topics. He goes off on tangents and looses focus quite often. He doesn't give a lot of work (reading was optional). He's nice- but I didn't learn anything.

Had him for Language, Thought, and Culture. I don't know what these other people are talking about. Look, don't take his classes if you're not interested in the topics, but he's enthusiastic, interested, knows his stuff, cares about making you think, an
