For Com Majors - Take Alcohol and Addiction!! the service learning is actually fun. The class is literally only about your volunteering, which can be boring but makes for a really easy class. A few papers and some busy work (so super easy) and prof. wills is so passionate about addiction it makes for a great class.

Comment:

She's the hardest working, most passionate professor I've ever met. You'll read alot and the work is extensive but communicate with her and put in your best effort and you'll be fine. My only advice is to use a binder to organize printouts as there are many. Organization would've helped me with the final. Participation makes it fun!

Comment:

Took her for argument and advocacy and also capstone. You definitely have to take the put work in to do well but I would recommend her to anyone because she is so dedicated to her job and always willing to meet with students to discuss papers/speech topics. Such a nice lady and so approachable!

Comment:

I had the honor of taking several courses with this amazing professor. Dr. Wills lesson plans and interest in her students succeeding are two of the things that make her stand out. The Communication and Spirituality course should be a core requirement for all students. The topics in that class are not always easy to grasp, but they are beneficial.

Comment:

CO346 was really an amazing class and unlike any other comm class I've ever taken. There's reading, but nothing unexpected from a 300 level, the lectures are inspirational, and if you work hard, participate, and really open yourself up to the subject material and literally to the class, you will do academically well and learn a lot about yourself.

Dr. Wills is by far the best professor that I have had during my years at Fairfield University. She is passionate about each topic she covers and makes a point of helping her students find their own ways to connect to the material. She appreciates participation and communication both with her and with classmates. She is a real person, she gets it.

Take dr. Wills capstone!! She helps you step by step with everything and your project turns out to be great. The class itself is a lot of group work but Dr wills is there for you to finish up your comm major. She is a fair grader show up to class do the work and you'll get a good grade.

Dr. Wills family communication class was one of my favorite comm. It allows students to share and learn about each other and relate this all back to the course work. Dr Wills relates her own life to the course work as well. She is an amazing professor and makes students feel so comfortable in the classroom. Coursework is not bad it is fun class

Dr. Wills is one of the best professors at Fairfield any student would be lucky to be in her class. The alcohol, addiction &culture course is something that is near to her heart and like all other courses she lights up the entire classroom. The work is interesting and the service learning part is not that time consuming and is enjoyable.

I recommend taking Communication & Spirituality (CO 346) with Maggie Wills. She is an amazing professor and truly cares so much about her students. CO 346 was a unique class that has been one of my favorite classes so far at Fairfield. The class allowed me to connect deeper to my spiritually and overall made me a better person.

If you're looking for a professor for capstone take her!! She does the entire project step by step with you throughout the entire semester so you never have the chance to get behind. NO exams which makes it even better. She can be a hard grader but she ALWAYS asks for you to send drafts before something is due!

I have taken four classes with her and every time I come to love her more and more. She is extremely helpful and understanding. She values each student and fosters relationships with all of her students. She even helped me to find an internship! Take her classes! They require you to do real work, but you will learn a lot!!

definately take her if you get the chance, she cares so much about what she does and puts so much work into class so that you can get the most out of it. its not all about just giving speeches either, i have found everything she has taught us to be very helpful and interesting. also hands down one of the nicest professors i have ever met.

One of the best professors at Fairfield U without doubt. You just have to actually take Communication as a serious major ... she can teach you a lot and also get you a trip to the Comm Conference through Capstone.
