Probably the most interesting class in my life. Going to class was like watching the discovery channel. Do not miss his classes. He once said everything I say in this class is important, and he meant it and it was true.

I had Dr Jani for pre calculus, then again for abstract algebra. Probably one of top three math professor in the math department. He made a subject which can easily go over ones head understandable.

I had Professor Jani for PreCalculus. He is great at explaining the first time around. If you skip one day, or want him to go over things from last class, he isn't much of a help. But, if you show up to class and actually pay attention, you'll do well in his class. The tests aren't super hard. Extra credit to put homework on the board.

If you are not well versed in mathematics, do not, I REPEAT do not take this professor. He puts problems on board, does them in his head, and explains nothing. I have emailed him on several occasions, but never returned mail. DO NOT TAKE HIM!

If you know your stuff, then go for it, if you don't, good luck. He assigns homework through webassign and grades it which is pretty retarded. if you do the extra credit assignment and go to class and he will boost your grade up. I went to every class and went from an B+/A- to an A.

PLEASE DON'T TAKE HIM!!! He is so horrible!! He doesn't care if no one understands what he is teaching My ENTIRE class failed and he didn't even care, didn't even curve us at all. People were walking away with 30's on the test, even after trying to study AND going to the lab for extra help. He is pure evil. STAY AWAY!!

I am a biology major and Calc is a requirement. Jani is VERY DIFFICULT. There is homework that is graded but he does not go over all of the homework during class and is not very helpful regarding those who don't understand. If you are not a math major or don't get math do not take him

Prof Jani is slight hard teacher. With that said, he is a great teacher who knows his math. He needs to find a better way to teach the students so they understand him. For a math student, he is the best and you will enjoy his class. For someone who has no interest in math and has to take the class, good luck because it will be to hard to slack.

DO NOT TAKE HIM! he is impossible to understand. there were 4 tests that were all open ended with 12-14 questions on each but all had parts a, b, c on them. He gives an extra credit optional paper which counts as a test grade. I got a C and dredded going to each class

We had quizzes throughout the semester, no midterm and a final. The quizzes were easy as long as u had done the hw and memorized a lot. He is not the most helpful though. Sometimes when you ask a question he makes you feel stupid. Overall though if you keep up with the work and get help from the tutoring center when needed u should do fine.

Professor is useless when it comes to teaching. Does not come early, or stay late, or reply back to emails to answer student questions. Not helpul at all, knows subject matter, but doesn not know how to relay it to students. "Teachers" are suppose to "teach". Being smart and knowing the Math does not mean that you are a good "teacher". STAY AWAY!

he is the worst professor eever. nice guy but cannot teach. if you ask him to explain a problem, he will give you another problem. he cannot teach, but he knows the material. if you are god at math then take him, other than that do not take him unless you want to fail. he uses the book alot 4 test they are hard an he doesnt curve

Smartest math prof. Understands that math isn't everyones favorite subject. Let class decide if final is cumulative or just the next chapter! Of course picking 1 chapter over a bunch is easier!Allows cheat sheet for final.Easy grader. NICEST GUY EVER! take his class if you want an A!!!
