I had many issues going on during this semester. I call Prof. Hallion and let her know after I drop a couple of class balls. She was very matter of fact of how I could jump back in. She outlined the expectations and I followed them. With each completion, she followed up to let me know how I was doing, and I finished strong. She's the real deal.

Very understanding and forgiving! Professor is a fair grader, but doesn't make it difficult. Good at responding to e-mails and gives decent feedback.

Comment:

Pros: She is very caring, and gives plenty of time to turn in work (It is rare to find a professor that understands that their students also work full time). The work load was great. Cons: When you turn assignments in, prepare to not get feedback for weeks (Usually 3 weeks). She is difficult to reach out to.

Professor Hallion provided clear expectations of what was required to receive a good grade. Didn't receive a lot of feedback however, I did not require much. Put in what the rubric is asking and you will walk away with an A.

This instructor cares about her students and is very knowledgeable about the material. She is always available to assist. Gives reasonable assignment deadlines and provides adequate assignment feedback. There is a group assignment as well. I would definitely take another course with her.

She is very unorganized and doesn't utilize LEO effectively; she posted an assignment that only included the title and due date, she didn't include the instructions until it was close to the due date. She doesn't provide clear directives in her assignments, she doesn't provide good feedback nor does she resply to discussion post.

Clarity is low because of what I consider poor use of the LEO classroom and syllabus format. However, once those two things were fully understood the class is not that difficult. Prof Hallion grades exactly off the rubrics; follow the rubric and pass.

I have not seen my grade yet but she was awesome. I want to take another class from her. Not a bunch of extra work like quizzes and other timely tasks. One paper and discussions and class complete. Highly encouraged to take a class with her.

Professor provided brief comments in the weekly discussions. Work load is not heavy. participation, essay, research paper, and group project. Groups and instructions for research paper could have been given earlier so we could get started earlier. Not a bad class at all though.

Great professor and class. I was on travel (work related) and needed an extension on an assignment. It was granted with no issue. Thanks to her consideration, I completed the assignment without an issue. I wish more professors were as understanding. :)

The professor was nice and was reasonably responsive to emails, however she was very disorganized and unprepared. Assignments and discussions were posted at the last minute, and they usually did not relate to topics learned in class. If you can tolerate that though, it is an easy class.

Instructor was not really prepared, didn't post things or make them available on time. Did not participate in class discussions, had minimal contact with students. Changed due dates. Everything was far too relaxed. I didn't learn a thing and got an A. If that is what you're looking for, take this instructor.

The assignments weren't up until the week they were due, when they were posted, they didn't have nearly enough detail for what we had to do, she forgot to put up discussion topics several times, wrote in the syllabus that we were to be put into groups shortly after the semester started but we still haven't a month before the group project is due!

Marie is an awesome professor. Very passionate about what she teaches and has quite the sense of humor. Marie is very understanding and is approachable if you have a problem or need further explanation. I wish that she taught more courses.

Comment:

I took two classes with Marie (as that is what she insists students call her). She is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about her field of terrorism, politics, morality and war. There is not much work load and she is a fair grader. 1 midterm, 1 final, 1 paper and class participation. I would highly recommend taking her classes!
