Comment:

Mario has been my advisor from freshman year. He helps the ones who ask for it. He knows the real world is tough, so he is tough on you, but explains he is getting us ready for the real world. I am graduating in a couple weeks, and he truly has prepared me. I could not have asked for a better mentor. Use what you are given to your advantage!

The lectures in this class are great. All the material is clearly covered and quizzes prepare you for the exams. But its all the extra topics, anecdotes, stories about the business etc. that make the lectures zing. That's what a true college experience is all about.

The Media Production major is fantastic. Mario's courses are the best there is... if you are a serious student who wants to learn and succeed. If you want hand holding and an easy time this is not for you. There are so many successful graduates from this program because Mario pushes them to excel.

Don't listen to people that complain about how challenging this class was or how fast Mario went or how hard the projects are. They are slackers who won't work in the field. If you show up and do the work you will do well. If you actually want to work in this field take all of Mario's classes. They are the best on the area.

Goes way too fast. Class is sometimes more of "storytime with Mario". Doesn't always go over everything, so reading the book is highly recommended. No paper tests or quizes, everything is online.

He is very to the point, and honest. He doesn't beat around the bush. If you attend class and pay attention, you will pass. If not then obviously you will fail. He gives an appropriate to the ones who try.

He has a lot of knowledge on what he teaches, but with that knowledge comes arrogance though and you'll see he has a lot of that as well, he often gets off of track talking about himself and all the big things he's done. With that said, I still think he's a cool guy. Make sure you don't slack off and study for his tests. Easy grader. Fun projects.

It's difficult to rate Mario for Internship since he isn't really the teacher in this situation. All you do is show up and say what you did at your Internship, and he takes note of it. He sometimes gives you advice and such. The class usually turns into hearing funny stories, which is cool. It's not your average class and it's pretty relaxed.

If you've already taken TV 1, this class doesn't offer much. If you are the kind of person that just wants to make videos, then sure, this class is for you. But if you actually want to learn new things and improve your skills, don't bother. You won't learn anything new in this class. No lectures, just filming and watching other peoples videos.

Mario is a very knowledgeable man. However, when it comes to teaching, he is not the best. His class was very helpful, but there were a lot of things I had to learn from other people, because he did not make any sense when discussing them. His class requires a lot of work, but his assignments are very helpful. A good class, just a bit frustrating.

Looking back 10 years later at my time at NCC, I think he was the best teacher I had there. I had him for Mass Comm in 2000, I am now in graduate school and looking back I think he's great. Take him!

Some students love mario, some hate him. I found him Hilarious! He gets off topic sometimes in class his stories are soo funny! He def knows his stuff! But what I didnt like about him is that he expects you to figure out everything he teaches on your own, he isnt very helpful in the lab.
