Comment:

Good guy but very lecture heavy and tests were kind of hard. He's passionate about psychology but can be boring. Heavily weighted exams and 1 paper, not much work other than that besides showing up to class but need to do well on exams to succeed.

Comment:

Dr. Galizio is, for my money, the best professor at UNCW. If you have a strong grasp of the material attendance is not required to pass, but hes such a good lecturer you'll go just to be entertained. I recommend his classes to everyone.

I have absolutely loved this class! If you follow his study questions you will make an A on every test. He gives approximately 1 million pop quizzes but they are always on what was gone over in class that day. He tends to trail off and get quiet so if you're in a huge lecture hall sit close to the front so you can hear all his interesting stories!

Doesn't post powerpoints until right before the exam. He gives a study guide. Read the book, it helps! Attendance isn't mandatory but he gives random pop quizzes. Drugs and Behavior is an interesting class. He does tell a lot of stories but they help you remember the material better. There is one paper due at towards the end of the semester.

Dr. Galizio is a great professor, and Drugs and Behavior is a fantastic class. The lectures can get a bit boring at times, but the class is definitely worth it. Attendance isn't technically mandatory, but there are random, 2 question pop quizzes given to make sure you show up.

Dr. Galizio is a phenomenal instructor. Lectures are a bit bland, but it is an interesting subject. He tries his best to make it a great lecture, but there is only so much one can do to lecture for almost 2 hours. Great instructor. Do the study guides before hand to gain a better understanding. Show up because quizzes are at interval schedules.

This class isn't hard at all. The subject material is interesting, although lectures can get mildly boring at times. Galizio is a great professor, definitely would recommend this class.

I really enjoyed this class! Drugs and the brain is very interesting, it is important to attend class as he give random pop quizes instead of taking attendance. make sure you study hard for the two exams he gives- not many opportunities for grades- 2 exams, 1 paper, and pop quizes, so just study and you will do fine. Very knowledgable professor.

Galizio is beyond boring in his lectures and annunciates random words (like yells them) so people pay attention I suppose? Random quizzes are easy, but the tests are tough and on specific materials. Would not recommend.

I took PSY 245 with Galizio & absolutely loved it! He is so enthusiastic & really knows what he's talking about. Attendance isn't mandatory, but he does give super easy 1-question pop quizzes based on what he literally just taught during the lecture. He also gives study guides which help a lot. He's great, I highly recommend taking a class by him.

Dr.Galizio is brilliant! This class is fairly easy in that he is not a tough professor, but the material is innately dense. Pop-quizzes are to be expected, but are SUPER easy. Show up to class every day and read the material, you will pass. Also, he is very helpful in a one on one setting as well if you need additional assistance.

He definitely knows what he's talking about, but his tests were very in-depth compared to the material he taught in class. Gives pop quizzes as a way of checking attendance, the 2 lowest get dropped. 3 tests and 1 movie review. Boring lecture but a fairly easy A if you study and actually learn the material.

His lectures are pretty boring and he doesnt put them online. The test arent that hard if you follow the study guide, which is usually 100+ questions and (once filled out) 20 pages long. Most of the answers are in the book. Interesting material, boring class

It definitely is a tough class with tough material. Very in depth tests. I wouldn't recommend the class to anyone. Nice professor, just makes tests too in depth compared to notes that are given and information in the book.

Dr. Galizio is a great professor! He keeps class interesting and makes me want to learn. I recommend him for Drugs and Behavior because his tests are fairly easy and if you attend class regularly the quizzes won't be a problem.

He is a great professor. I really had no interest in this class, but he made the material interesting, he is funny, and he is helpful when you have questions.
