Dr Boughan knows his stuff and can tell if you did your assignments. A book a week with 5 essays and a 15 page paper at the end for this class. At first it seem daunting but was amazing in the end. Enjoyed the class and the work and left with a new outlook on the Middle Ages. Always answered questions and available outside of class.

He is a very smart teacher and even the most alert students will have trouble keeping up with him at his level. Be prepared to do a lot of reading, note-taking, and writing. Expects a lot out of his students but if you pay attention, write the papers, and do the out of class reading you should succeed with atleast a C or better.

Be prepared to take notes! It's a lecture class and he is very demanding of his students. A very knowleadgeable professor that only gives two test and two map quizes during the tenure of the semester. He's a cool guy and will help you if you ask. If you want a challenge TAKE HIM!
