Although you can bring a cheat sheet for your exams, the problems are really hard to solve. Even if I attend the class, the pace is so fast its hard to catch up... I took this professor because he had a high mark on this site... Big mistake... He's also a tough grader.

The homework took longer and longer as the semester went on but out of all of the EK307 professors he's the best by far. Hard class, keep up with the material and do all of the homework!!

Comment:

This man is good at teaching, he delivers concepts neatly and straightforward. It's still a hard class and you'll have to do problems outside of class yourself, but compared to the other profs, you won't get a better one for 307. He also takes out problems in the homework that are "not practical", and gives shorter exams compared to other profs.

Comment:

Horenstein is the definition of LAD who loves making dad jokes in class. But seriously, great professor, wants his students to excel and always available to help. Made this tough class less stressful. Gives you extra credit for the most random facts (like the name of his sailboat). Overall great person.

Professor H. is a great guy and an extremely interesting lecturer. I would definitely recommend taking the class with him over any of the other circuits professors. However, be prepared to study for clarification on your own or in office hours (where he's extremely helpful). He's also incredibly adaptable to class feedback.

Circuits is a tough class regardless of who you get. He is one of the funniest professors I've had at BU. Makes lectures entertaining with his life stories. He is also very helpful and genuinely cares about each and every student doing well in the class.

The only perk of this class was the curve. He is very concerned with passing as many students as possible and caters to class consensus. Methods used are contrary to the book and are unhelpful in solving problems, especially on exams. I skipped the final and got a B+ for the course This is testament to the difficulty and generosity of the professor

Comment:

Horenstein is the absolute man. The guy gives a 10 minute break in his 2 hour lecture, and washes the chalkboards so his writing is crystal clear and neat. He's absolutely hysterical and makes Electric Circuit Theory feel like Psychology 101 (no offense...kinda). I love the guy and he is one of the most approachable professors at BU.

I loved this class and loved his teaching style (and his daily dose of entertainment). Anyone who at the very least pays attention in lecture (I never read the book, studied only my notes, and ended up with a B+) will gain a great conceptual understanding of the material. And yes, he gives the grade you DESERVE not a rank based on everyone else

Gave half the class a D or F. He makes it seem like everyone will do well & then all of a sudden you get your final grade and it's a whole letter grade lower than expected. Makes you feel stupid in class. AlWAYS late to office hours which is at 8AM. Very haughty & prideful. Can be funny at times but that's basically it. Not recommended whatsoever.

One of the best professors I've ever seen. The class is not easy, but Horenstein definitely knows how to "maneuver" so it would not be that tough. I enjoyed having him as a professor!

The man.****nstein loves his students and wants them to learn. He isn't about homework deadlines and memorization. He just wants his class to learn the material and hopefully pursue a career in electrical engineering. Too bad i'm a BME. Anyway, thanks for makin this class interesting. Also, according to this man, Dubz does not come to class, ever.

Great guy. Great Prof. Someone please ask him about "Big Dan" and watch the expression on his face, should be priceless. You may not know if he does not tell you the whole story, but if you get it you will know. It was an inside joke in my lecture and should still catch his attention. The course itself it taught by 5 teachers, with one common final, aka disaster. However, Professor****nstein did a pretty good job of preparing us for the test worth 35%. The reading in the book is really helpful if its done thoroughly, so get him to give out a list of readings if you want an A
