one of the smartest and best professors at Brandeis. He makes the material interesting and he lectures even the class can be on the smaller side. He does expect you to read a lot but you dont have to. very fair grader

One of my favorite professors. I'll take any class he offers because he's so interesting and funny, and he makes me want to learn the material. Not the easiest grader but he likes any solid argument and is fair.

Professor Hulliung is well-suited to students who are, above all, self-motivated. He is far less interested than most professors in your questions or difficulties. That said, his class is extremely straightforward, provided that you do the reading, attend, and pay attention. You would be hard pressed to find a funnier prof, too.

I was extremely interested in the Enlightenment before taking this class. However, Prof Hulliung's babbling and complete disregard for student participation made it easy to spend time on ratemyprofessors.com during class. He is a very intelligent man and knows his stuff, but that is where it ends.

This class is the worst! He doesn't know anything about existentialism, and if he doesn't like you, he gives your papers bad grades without fully reading them!

A brilliant man! Likes the 70s, and doesn't need new retro clothes--he's still got the original outfit! Best of all, you learn a lot!

Cool! It was just cool. All those French thinkers just rock. And he does too. Finds meaning in The Plague although he insists that there isn't any.
