Comment:

Dr. Meister is seriously a great professor. He lectures the whole class but it is information that is interesting and relevant. He connects the topics we are learning in class to everyday life. The class has very little homework and assignments but if you don't go to class you won't know about them. I would take all comm classes from him.

Comment:

I had Meister for the lecture portion of COMM 110, and he was okay. He's a really nice guy and manages to make a large lecture interactive. There were times where he said opinion-based or arguable things as if they were fact. For a speech class, we generally found that it was significantly less painful than expected and Meister was a part of that.

TBH the first time I had Meister I thought he was terribly boring, turns out that was just the class. Once I got him in COMM 114 I realized he is a good prof who caters to students.

Very few things are actually graded in class, overall a manageable class. Some of the assignments are hard to understand and need clarification, also sometimes he doesn't respond to emails. I would take him again, he has a good sense of humor and cares about his students.

Meister is pretty awesome. Although he chews tobacco during class, you quickly get over that and realize how great of a professor he is. He can give an impromptu speech on the spot on ANY topic that you give him. Super impressive!

Fantastic teacher! He's such a great guy and made the class fun. Our class was small and he invited us over for dinner at the end of the semester. I'd definitely take another class from him.

Dr. Meister is one of my favorite teachers on campus. He is not only fun, but very informative. I have found that after a class period if he believes he didn't get his point across with clarity, Dr. Meister will reteach the topic to make sure the lesson has been learned effectively. Fun guy, highly recommended.

I like Dr. Meister as he always appreciates your efforts as long as he can see that you are making one. He is more focused on the content - will not reduce a grade if your paper is shorter, as long as it has clear ideas and arguments. But he does not like students that are not trying.

What i learnt from him is going to be valuable through out my acedemic years. Breaks it down real well and is an excellent and claer teacher. Definitely take a class from him. He tries to be controvertial but this is mostly kinda cute.

Mark is a great instructor, always willing to help you out if you take the time to visit him in his office. Very understanding, down to earth, always willing to share stories. He loves to digress, and it makes class interesting.

The great thing about Mark is that he isn't always clear and helpful because it seems that he wants the student to be creative and independent on their take on the particular subject. One of the best professors I have ever had.
