Very nice professor. This guy knows his math i'll tell you that. Not the most socially apt guy but he'll work with you on tests and quizzes if you feel you deserved more points. Final is super easy compared to all the tests. Lots of quizzes

Doesn't give a clear timeline of quizzes or due dates, but will email a couple days in advanced. He won't put anything in quizzes/exams that isn't on the homework or class notes. Attendance isn't mandatory, but it will help significantly with understanding concepts. Ask homework questions & he'll go over them in class! No calculators required!

Not a very prepared professor. Makes mistakes grading but will fix them so make sure to read your test answers. Quizzes are easy based off of homework. Do online homework its worth 50 points of extra credit. Very boring class but easy A if you apply yourself

He is so nice and made this class fun. He takes the time to make sure you understand the material whether its in class or during office hours. Never be afraid to ask him for help because he is always willing to answer questions. Exams and homeworks are fair. He makes easy to follow study guides. One of the best professors Ive had.

If you are looking for a professor that will take their time, explain the problems in full detail and how it applies to business, I would highly recommend taking Professor Marshall Whittlesey. He makes the problems in the class easy to understand, especially if math is one of your weak subjects. A professor like this will help you love math.

He is one of the better math professors. His lectures can seem slow/boring but he goes through every detail so you can follow what is going on. He is very nice at answering questions and is not condescending at all. He does assign a lot of hw, but you get the choice of quiz or hw to turn in. His grading is scale lenient and tests are long/fair.

Marshall is a good professor. Most people hate on him because they just don't have a clear understanding of math. In my experience he was slightly boring, however, he was very precise and clear. In addition, he never skips steps and explains everything he does. He is stingy on grading but thats to be expected for math professors. No homework btw.

He's a good professor and takes the time to help students when they need help during lectures. Homework is never collected and just used as practice, but if you understand how to do the problems you will do fine on the tests/quizzes.

Prof. Whittlesey's teaching style is very lecture based, so you do have to pay attention in class. Attendance is not mandatory but you will miss A LOT if you ditch. Went to his office hours many times for clarity and he is very willing to help. He drops a lot of hints for exam q's. Side note: He looks like Peter Parker and talks like Sheldon Cooper

Smart, but doesn't know how to teach. This guy said he hadn't taught this course in 20 years and it showed. Doesn't seem to have prepared a lesson plan the entire semester. Lectures straight from the book in an unorganized manner and often has to backtrack when he makes mistakes. Tests written before class and unrelated to lectures. AVOID!

Attendance was taken maybe 3-5 times in the beginning of semester to work out the wait list, then not mandatory after that. Lectures can be very boring. His monotone voice puts me to sleep. He definitely knows what he is talking about and is a very smart guy. Sometimes it seems as though he has other things on his mind and is unorganized

He is a nice guy, and understanding of special situations such as family emergencies etc. However he is not the greatest teacher. I mostly self taught myself through this course, and he does not know how the online homework works. Just do the homework and read the book and you'll be okay. Ask questions, and show up and you'll be okay

I suggest you find a different professor, but if not...Just go to class. Attendance counts as extra credit. DO THE HW PROBLEMS! They are always on the quizzes and exams. He is nice, but not the best math professor. Oh, and don't arrive late to class:)

Worst class I have ever taken in the history of my academic career. He doesn't care if his students can't follow him because he's going too fast. He won't curve grades even if it's his fault that he misled his students and surprised them on his tests. He is an overall terrible "professor" Avoid his classes.

Most of the class was student presentations, and grading was lenient. Everyone I know got at least a B on them. Whittlesey himself lectured a lot about congressional apportionment. Interesting but it felt like a US history class sometimes. Very little homework. Study guides were given before each exam, and they had everything you needed to know.

Extremely boring professer, very BLAH with his words. How ever he does care if you put in the effort to get to know him. His exams are hard. If you suck at math you will have to be a brown noser. If you are good at math, you will do FINE.

Really nice. Tests are hard but just study and keep up with the homework. He does spend a lot of time on one question but that's just because some people are slower then others, that's not his fault.
