Comment:

Martha was one of the best teachers I had. She is very knowledgeable about History and even on a editing board for the National Historic society. She has a story of her own about trench warfare registered with the National Historic society. She is also very knowledgeable about the KKK and its local impact on Indiana. Definitly recomended.

Comment:

She does not practice what she preaches. I had a fellow student make **** remarks towards me, and she told him there was nothing wrong with this. When I wrote her a complaint, she said I "turned on her". She has no control over her classroom, and prefers it that way. So long as you make jokes, she'll pass you with an A. Studying isn't needed.

Comment:

She is a great teacher and is very kind but also VERY boring. She reads directly from the book so there is no point to go to the lectures. It helps you more to skip class than to go because she speaks in a monotone voice that doesnt fluctuate or change and it drives everyone CRAZY! (shes easy though)

Go to class or read the book, there is really no point doing both. I went to class maybe 3 or 4 times after the midterm and when I did go I slept. I got an A-. I have a genuine interest in history so it was easy to teach myself. Tests are all essay and questions are somewhat easy to predict.

Martha is wonderful, I love taking her classes because she is a big dork. She is very passionate about the material and you can tell she loves teaching it. Granted she isn't the most exciting teacher in the world, but the excitement she brings into class is worth it.

Very nice teacher. Class is rather boring; I recommend you read the book at home, then attend lecture to get relevant info you'll need for the test. Think of it as a chance to catch up on other homework. But she really is a VERY nice person, concerned with students welfare and you should have little trouble getting a good grade.

"Lectures" are student-run, but as long as you study the outlines she does happen to give in class (she posts them online, too) you'll get A's on the test. Also, the paper due at the end is OUT OF CONTROL, but I wrote practically nothing and got a 100%.

This woman gives a 55 minute lecture in a 50 minute class. it's all totally useless information; she tests mostly over stuff that she doesn't mention in class. she also has major trouble with modern technology; at least 10 minutes of every lecture is spent struggling with the microphone and lights.
