Very funny, interesting, and inspiring lectures. You learn a lot through his insights and personal experiences as well. Very responsive through email too, willing to answer questions. However, tests are difficult...focus a lot on trivial questions and have answers that can be interpreted multiways...hard to know what he wants.

I completely agree with the prior comment. Dr. Scott is one of the best psychology teachers at Chapman. When you walk out of one of his classes you "know your stuff".Is he tough? You bet he is, but taking into account that psych students will have people's mental wellbeing in their hands after graduation, I can only hope they studied with Dr. Scott

I firmly believe that this was the best class I have ever taken at Chapman. True, you really have to work hard for your grade in this class, but he is an authority on the subject matter and really wants students to walk away with the deep understanding that he has. Great class, great teacher...highly recommend it (plus it double counts for GE's!)

Dr. Scott is a really good guy and I respect him a lot, but his teaching methods are a bit askew. He is very temperamental and nit picks assignments to death. He is very vague about what he wants and then gets upset if you don't read his mind. Also, he very rarely gives A's so if you are anal about your grades go elsewhere.

I liked him for Abnormal Psy, maybe it was because I liked the subject, but don't take clinical Psy if you've taken ab psy--it's exactly the same class. After a while you get sooo bored because he is not very animated and gets somewhat irritated and impatient easily.

Wow what a windbag. Tends to focus on trivial aspects and flies through major concepts. Does not respect students' feeling and is even insulting to many. Do not even get me started about the tests, wish I would have never taken this class because he is quite the jerk. Run, do not walk to another elective.

The class is not up to par considering the ineresting subject matter. He cares in the material but tends to focus on trivial aspects of it. It is a shame that the class is not more intriguing. Tests are too picky.

Great professor. Lots of lecture and powerpoint, but also breaks up with lots of discussions. He doesn't seem too picky on homework assignments, but tests are a little specific. Nothing too tough though.

Dr. Scott explains things well and makes the class intresting, but he looks for very specific answers on his tests and won't allow leway. I was always confused with what he wanted on assigments.
