Comment:

For the subject matter Dr. McHugh clearly and effectively explains the lessons. He is always open to help when you have questions. Very nice and caring and wants you to succeed. Does not ask trick questions. Gives points wherever he can too when you get a question wrong. Really great guy, really smart.

I thought this class was very interesting, and very doable for non-physics majors. It's very conceptual, and there's virtually no math. I've overheard people who said it was hard, but if you pay attention, go to class, and do the little bit of homework, I think it's an easy A. The tests were practically the same things from his HW/BB assignments.

This was the Physics of Sound class. Definitely not an easy class. Subject matter a bit confusing and the book doesn't really help much. I recommend going to him for help... a lot.

He's really, really boring. He reads directly from the powerpoint presentation instead of using it as an aid. He can be helpful, but he's so boring. It's hard to stay awake, especially when you have it at 8 or 9:30AM!

He's really sweet and really eager to help students who ask for it. his tests are all mulitple choice and theres only 3 a semester. (there is no midterm) i dont read the book until the week before the test and i get A's. I highly reccomend him. He's freakin adorable! oh but dont skip class too much, things are easier if you pay attention.

He wasn't that hard, but then again it was lab, and lab is**** easy. But he is no good and relaying info. so i wouldn't suggest him for lecture. He was no good at giving help the few times that i had to ask him, so i can see where others say he sucks.

Dr. McHugh is excellent for Advanced lab. He's very helpful with setting up and understanding the lab. Keep up, follow directions and you'll be fine. Ask a lot of questions, if you are unclear on his answers, ask again, he'll explain it thouroughly if he knows you aren't understanding!

Make friends w/ a physics major or be prepared to teach yourself...He's a nice guy and would probably be really helpful (or try) if anyone went to office hours, but lecture is worthless and he just can't convey the material
