Should be doing research alone somewhere, not teaching. She brings a lot of moodiness to class. Allows 1st & 2nd years to enroll, but automatically grades them down if she notices their status (her class is too deep for them to grasp at that age!). She judges students according to her own emotional connection. Among the worst profs at Brandeis.

I get the feeling Prof. Campbell teaches only to fund her poetry. She seemed aloof and often angry. Did not inspire much in the students regarding the material at hand.

She is not unknowledgeable. The problem is that here classes were a nightmare in the sense that her awful personality would get in the way of the material. I have never met such an unctuous person. And the ways in which she is a hard teacher are not necessarily methods that actually help the student learn.

Amazing professor- easily my favorite at Brandeis. Took everything from her I could. She tends to ramble in class, but her ramblings are always interesting. I learned so much from her.

Comment:

Had PMS for entire semester, was unapologetically rude and insensitive to large class. Personal mtgs were fine, but had a definite problem in class setting. Was not personable, often irate, had bad temper. Lots of mood swings (mostly toward bad moods).
