Comment:

This class is an easy A, but you have no idea what actually happens during class. I have never missed a class and I still have no idea what she is talking about. She is super confusing and when you ask questions she gets really defensive. She gets off topic easily which makes it really difficult to pay attention. Do not recommend this professor.

Comment:

Professor Gallant deserves more credit. She has dedicated her life to teaching and is passionate about sociology. Tests are curved; most of my friends got A's and they barely showed up. Yes, sometimes she rambles but be respectful and listen and you just may learn something. She is a sweet, caring woman.

She is a sweet person, but not a good professor. She has no clue what she is talking about half the time. she jumps all over the place during lecture. it's hard to stay awake in her class. and she gets really annoyed if you ask her to repeat herself. She reference the text book but you don't absolutely need it.

Dr. Gallant is a lovely person! She really knows her stuff, and helps you when you're struggling! I would take her again, and I really enjoyed her throughout the semester. At times can be a little unclear, but if you follow up with her she will clarify whatever you need!

Comment:

I had Dr. Gallant for Classical Theory and Senior Seminar. A lot of people don't like her, but she is an amazing professor. Her knowledge is admirable. She uses the curve table to grade which make you pass the class regardless if you are not doing so well. I recommended her 100%.She will work with you if you are going through difficult situations.

Dreaded this class every week. She's a very smart woman, and was probably once a good teacher but is now extremely hard to follow. I never knew what was going on in that class, ever, and it was so boring. She's not a hard grader though, so even when you don't know what is going on you could do well.

Every day that I attend class, all that crosses my mind is "What is this lady talking about?!" She reads from books/articles and doesn't GIVE you information. It's kind of like she is reading aloud to herself. Mostly gives irrelevant information. CONFUSING PROF! I wish another professor taught this so I could actually learn something...

If you can bypass this teacher please do. It made me rethink my major in soc. I had her for social theory and honestly it was a CHORE going to her class. Boring, talks in circles, not clear when explaining things and argues with you if you don't agree with how she graded something. Any knowledge I obtained was through doing papers.

very hard to follow gave a couple of paper that she graded easily. The test were difficult and made up 55% of the grade. Extremely hard to want to go to class. Equally as hard to follow what she is saying.

I've had her a few times and she's such a nice lady if you get to know her but by far the most boring teacher anyone would ever have to sit there and listen to. She talks all over the place and no one ever has a clue what in the world shes talking about. Such an easy grader and I never read any of the books that she assigned and always great grades
