Comment:
Burstein teaches Bioethics in a really interesting manner. I went into the class having been required to take it, but I felt extremely interested in the course material as it was presented. He is a very fair grader. A very good upper philosophy course to take at Georgetown.

He tries to act a lot scarier than he is. Don't be fooled. He wants you to do the reading and participate in class. He WANTS you to question what he says, and what the textbook says. I got an A- on every paper and felt he was kind of stingy with giving out a flat A's, but regardless, his class was one of my favorites.

Pretty good teacher considering the difficulty of the subject. One of the only profs at Georgetown who teaches Foucault, and Foucault is definitely worth knowing.

Comment:
Unclear on paper criticism. Clearly biased toward Liberals, Socialists and Communists. Graded subjectly and harshly on any view contrary to his own, including those of conservative democrats, centrists and those on the right. Readings were interesting. I was quite disappointed by his apparent lack of empathy for working whites. He loved white guilt
