Dr. Card is a very nice guy, but he did understand his own assignments when he gave them to us and could not explain them to us. Eventually I think he just gave up and gave us all A's which I can't complain about that. I guess if you want an A out of him confuse him lol.

Comment:

Dr. Card taught my graduate level ethics class which was my first in person class toward my MSAS. I enjoyed it very much. He was helpful and easy to talk to about anything. He is very intelligent, but still open to other ideas and opinions too. I am glad that he was my professor for this class. I would highly recommend him.

Comment:

One of the great profs of my MPA career at USD. Good teacher, wicked sense of humor, very helpful. One of the kindest profs you will ever meet. When I look back at my MPA, I am privileged to have studied under Mike, Dave Aronson, and Steve Feimer. I am wiser for it. Thanks Mike, I might not have made it without your help.

Comment:

USD has Dr. Card to thank for my being at their institution. The man is straightforward, believes in working hard and getting results, but doesn't hold your hand. For graduate school, his style is exactly what I needed. We could talk for hours about public administration, especially leadership, and I still won't scrape the surface. Great professor!

I liked his teaching style alot. He was really straight forward, and told us exactly what we needed to do in order to get a good grade in his class. His assignments and tests were very clear. It wasen't the easiest course, but he made it a little better.

Pompous, and poor communicator. I do not think teaching is his calling. However, he does care and there are some valuable lessons that can be learned from this class. Personally, I am glad that he has moved to the Political Science department
