Do the reading or you will be lost. Lots of writing, no written exams in class. A lot of note taking during class time not too much interaction

Very nice professor. Lots of reading, but the books are interesting. Two presentations that are easy. Two papers, one midterm and one final. Not too bad of a class, I've had worse.

Trying to get more feedback on assignments was difficult. He can come off defensive/irritated when trying to get feedback on a paper which is discouraging. His lectures are very boring. He has his funny/quirky moments though. 1 presentation 3 papers. Buy the textbooks - there are three, so sharing/splitting one can help with the cost.

Interesting readings, good convos, no hw's, some extra credit, 2-3 papers,1 presentation which is pretty easy, doesn't take attendance, very quirky guy, very meticulous grader, books is mandatory. Class is fairly enjoyable just do all assignments try to do every extra credit and your guaranteed an A or B

Dr. Indergaard is my favorite professor at St. John's. He's incredibly smart and engaging with a quirky sense of humor. We had 2 papers (a midterm and final) with a mini paper/presentation. Pay attention and take notes! I would take him again for every class offered and I suggest you take him too!

SOC 224 (Women and the City): Ready good professor and course. Books were really good choices (except for one). We used three books total. Two of the books were more on point. Presentations and discussions were very lively, engaging, and informative. They should offer more courses like this.

I went into class not knowing a thing about sociology and I came out deciding to minor in Sociology, this year Lectures are great, sometimes can be slow paced but he writes everything on the board which is helpful and tests are DIRECTLY from the notes. He even gives you exact questions, vocab, and essays for test 1 week before you take the test.

My advice for the people that are poor test takers: DONT TAKE HIS CLASS. He only gives 2 tests and one paper. No help to your GPA if you're a poor test taker.

Professor Indergaard is a great professor. He gives lectures every class along with notes on the board that will be useful for the exams and your paper. He gives two tests, the midterm and the final, and no quizzes. There's only one paper to write and he's a pretty easy grader. Must put in time to study for the midterm and final and it's an easy A

Prof. Indergaard was the best the professor I've ever had at St. John's. I have never left a class feeling so sure of what I've learned in my college career. He gives very clear reviews for all assignments and testing. There is work involved, but he is extremely clear in what he is looking for and very helpful in making things easier to comprehend.

Used three books total. Reading and attendance are mandatory unless you understand confusing concepts. Gives no direction for exams. Very little direction for the in class presentations (you read off what you wrote). In total, two presentations are 50 points. Midterm&final are 100 points each and take home.

By far the best professor at this school. Nice guy, always willing to help his students if they need it. The class is super easy, almost impossible to fail especially with all the extra credit he gives out. Best class I've taken.

awesome professor! he gives out a lot of extra credit and his tests are mainly based on the notes you take in class so make sure you attend every class. He gives out a study sheet before every exam so if you study out of it you'll definitely get an A!
