Comment:

Psychotherapy & Counseling: Waste of time and money. I didn't learn anything useful about therapy. Very biased; uses a textbook he wrote himself that was 8 years outdated; doesn't want outside opinions or views, just his own. His exams (take home papers) are a joke. AVOID THIS PROFESSOR IF YOU HAVE THE CHANCE! If not, I brace yourself; or transfer.

Dr. York rocks. Yes he's eccentric, even a little over the top at times, but he's a gifted teacher who knows his material and can convey not only the facts but the underlying ethos that makes psychology a worthwhile enteprise. Highly reccomended.

Doc york is an amazing teacher. He's a bit out there but that's part of what keeps him interesting. He's got a great habit of outlining EXACTLY what's on your next test and if you're confused is ALWAYS available for office hours if you get in touch with him. He's a great professor, A+

Don't take this class! I've had Prof. York before (a few times) and loved it but this class is horrible, especially the first half. The exams are all essay & short answer (idents) and even if you write everything you know from lecture and text he insists you didn't answer the question fully. Avoid this class.

He is crazy but a wonderful teacher. He absolutely loves what he does and he makes class fun. Hes a little ****ed, but its mostly funny. His tests are easy - he tells you exactly what to study before hand. All multiple choice. And he curves. Highly recomended!!

Well it true, the man isn't all there. But when it comes to teaching psychology I can think of no better choice. If you want to learn and have a good time, York is the man to satisfy those two needs. Tests are moderately hard; but if you take good notes and study, they are a breeze.

The craziest teacher I have ever had. Very interesting teacher; loves what he does and always tells you what you need to know for an upcoming test. He offered an extra credit project to boost your grade one-letter grade for doing a hour and a half study

I had proff york for intro to psych as a freshman and he was very cool. He can get off topic when lecturing but the cool thing is that he tells you all the topics that you need to study for on the upcomming test the class befor the test.
