She was ok the only thing was she wasnt very specific on what she wanted most of the time in terms of her writing. i had her for philosophy and i loved the book but she got side tracked so much. All in all she was an ok professor but i wouldnt take a philosophy class with her.

She is awful. Do not ask questions in this class because she will make you feel like an idiot. She expects you to know everything in advance and if you dont she will make an example of you in front of the class. She is very rude and you just watch videos and are expected to learn from that

Comment:

Must attend class or you will be lost. We used the textbook. The more you participate the better you become. She sets real expectations and if you put in the effort you will do well in her class. Helps you understand Latin-based languages, makes it all make sense. Homework was heavy but it was a summer class so it was expected. Tests were long.

Comment:

I had Ms. Elone for LAH 100 in the fall 2017 semester. I spent the whole 50 minutes listening to her lectures. There were barely any assignments in the class, but there were a few paper assignments towards the end of the semester. I personally wouldn't recommend her for LAH but do take her for French and Italian. I really liked her overall.

Professor Elone is great!!! Class meetings are mostly conversational, try to speak french as much as you can. All the writing part is usually for homework. She teaches about the language and the culture as well. You must do and redo the homework until you get a grade.

Loved her! Class is difficult if you don't know French, but if you know it and are just looking for easy credits, you won't find a more fun professor! She always wonders about the students' opinions and talks about current events, and tells stories that'll stick with you throughout the years. Also, she's quite funny too! Highly recommended!

FRE 101: Great experience. Professor made us laugh every day and she tells it like it is. Talks a lot about French culture/customs, interested in what students think. Not a lot of homework, only a few quizes. You learn everything in the lectures. Class is perfect for a beginner, someone who took French in middle or high school. A+++

She is a nice and funny woman but she isn't the best teacher. She goes off on long tangents about things that don't pertain to our class at all. We are now half way through the semester and have had one test and are on chapter 2. She told us the first day we wouldn't learn anything in Italian 101. She does give 5 absences before taking points off..

Elone would get off topic all the time. I would leave class and forget what the class was about because she would talk about C-span and the news for the entire class. I started skipping because I would get irritated with her attitude towards students and myself. She carries herself as if she knows best and feels she is an incredibly deep thinker.

This woman does not want to be a teacher. She even admits this. She is very burnt out but I can't imagine her ever having been enthusiastic, pleasant or encouraging as an educator. I learned nothing except that I regretted taking this course. She is so condescending and insulting it was hard not to tell her off or walk out of the classroom. RUN.

I don't know how this woman has a job. After six weeks in french class, I still wasn't sure that even she knew that she was supposed to be teaching a FRENCH class. She just talked about philosophy and politics. She won't teach you what you are paying to learn. She's disorganized, loses work, and condescending. She wasted my time and money.

Ms. Elone is a great italian teacher especially if you have previous knowledge of the language because she is an expert in grammar. She teaches the origin of words in the English and Italian languages which is intangible knowledge. She has a very practical approach to the class and life in general and there is much to learn from this woman.

You may see that she is an easy teacher and want to take this class, but I am telling you now, don't do it. Her easiness means nothing when you are just wasting away doing nothing in class. You will learn NOTHING. She will criticize you for not paying attention in class when she isn't even teaching, just talking about whatever she wants. Drop now.

Kept class very interesting. There was never a single dull moment. She is extremely knowledgeable and always answers questions. Class is always really fun. She looks great for her age. Her grading policy is very easy, it is near impossible to get anything lower than an A-. Definitely worth taking the class, you learn a lot and have a lot of fun!
