You don't have to use your textbook and if you take good notes his tests shouldn't be that bad. HOWEVER, his sense of humor may not be for everyone. He likes to be sarcastic and he can sometimes come off as a jerk. If you can handle his attitude he should be ok. Expect to be self-sufficient because he doesn't help you.

Mind-numbingly awful, this man has no business teaching. As a lab teacher, he left most the teaching to the students - he was too busy not helping, not explaining, and answering questions by rewording them and returning them back without any actual input.

He is a nice guy and likes to joke around. His lectures are very good and you never have to open the book because he doesn't put anything on the tests that he doesn't talk about in class. His tests are straightfoward and not that hard if you go over your notes.

One of the best teachers I've had here. He teaches you the concept, then shows you a pic, then explains it again. It's hard not to learn well in his class. He makes study aids available too - good guy!
