Comment:

Brutal. Course is poorly designed (if there was any effort put into it at all). The fact that I paid my hard earned money to take this course grinds my gears especially when it is evident the 'facilitator' puts little to no effort into designing the course. The only thing good about this class was the textbook. Aside from that, avoid the class.

Comment:

Mina is a WONDERFUL professor. She facilitated the course in such a way that all material was clear and concise. She was extremely helpful, approachable and put herself out there to help students. I don't know where these negative comments are coming from but they're ludicrous. I love Mina's teaching style and will be taking more courses from her!

Comment:

Students who treasure their education and want the best teaching for their money should most definately avoid getting this professor. Mina Wong is not the person you want to teach you how to be a good facilitator, as she does not possess good facilitator qualities. Avoid getting her if you can.

If you're looking for a teacher who makes petty judgements based on her own personal opinion rather than the quality of your work, this is the teacher for you. If you have no opinion of your own and want to be told what to think, this is your teacher. AVOID AT ALL COSTS IF YOU HAVE AN OPINION THAT DIFFERS FROM HERS!! Your mark will reflect it!

Comment:

Any time a teacher resorts to making personal accusations about students that have no bearing on the course material or the students work in the classroom it says a lot about the teacher's character and level of professionalism. Brock would be wise to rid itself of this poor poor example of a teacher.

I have to tell you that some of the myopic meanderings of people who have left comments are a reflection of deep seated insecurities they each have. Mina is passionate, dedicated, and tough; something we all need in order to emerge as the teachers we were meant to be. If you can't handle it, then you should re-think your vocation. Deal with it!

Mina sucks as a facilitator, as she is very rude, critical, and unhelpful. Her class is extremely boring and she is very uninspiring. Her teaching style is very complex, unclear and not effective. I suggest to switch out of her class if you ever get her, and get a facilitator that you will learn more from and that will be helpful.

Obviously Ms Wong has many cheerleaders. My experience with her has been extremely frustrating. I had to complete a paper 5 times for this teacher and I only received a B. She's is very transmissive in her approach, defensive and will accuse you of inability or laziness in spite of your hard work. She should be dropped as a facilitator and teach HS

As I read everyones comments, we are entitled to our opinions because we all have dfifferent views. Mina is the type of professor I wished I had when I was in High School. The reason she encourages us to rewrite our assignments is because she see's potential in all her students and knows we can do better. Great Job Mina and thank you!

Wow!Comments about Mina conflict a lot (see below mine).Mina is a very knowledgeable and passionate facilitator. I really feel like I am learning from her. If you dont feel prepared for a 4th year univ.course or just want to get through and get your diploma, you’d better choose another facilitator.

Mina is neither passionate nor devoted. She doesn't treat all students equally. She acts kind,but she has a mean streak in her that she keeps under wraps. I don't think her teaching style inspires students. I think she should re-think what adult learners need.

Mina is an excellent teacher. YES, she is not very clear with assignments, but she is always willing to help all her students... you just have to ASK. ADED04 wasn't an easy class, but it is not the end of the world. You need to take this class regardless but you'll find the class interesting.

Just finished a class with this professor. She had me revise/rewrite an essay 4 times and I still got a B-. Terrible teacher, do not pay attention to anything positive here. She is Gawd awful!

Mina is passionate and devoted. Yes, she is picky and can be pedantic, but she is very unselfish and loves teaching. I learned quite a bit under her. She is open, kind, and honest. It's pretty obvious the complaints she received here are from students whose laziness was exposed by her marking.

intelegent women - does not practice what the course preaches. She's an Academic. Not very open minded when it comes to debate regarding the course or other issues. Will cut the discussion short in a confrontational manner.
