Comment:

He is very nice, but lectures bored me to death. The class itself had a weird dynamic of switching between incredibly easy and extremely hard. The lab sessions were good. Weighting on test questions didn't make much sense to me and some questions were very unexpected, but he dropped some of those.

Comment:

His lectures are slow and easy to understand, and he highly encourages class participating class. It is highly recommended that you attend lectures because he explains the material quite well. The only bad thing is that the class itself is very exam heavy and conceptual, so you must try to understand beyond the basic materials that are covered.

Comment:

Always stops and encourages his class to ask questions. Explains any question in depth. The TAs run the labs, which are easy anyway. The quizzes are tricky, so make sure you study. Exams can be difficult but are mostly straightforward, and they are curved. If taking Comp Org, do not put off the final project, start ASAP!

Dr. Atiq was by far the best professor I have had at OU so far. He encourages the class to ask questions. He always asks how you are doing in the class and wants to see how he can improve. He is always available for extra help.

Dr. Attiquzzaman read the class during lectures well. He also frequently asked about how the class and lab were going, as it was a brand new class this semester. He was able to answer almost any question, and was very honest when he didn't know the answer. I would (and will) happily take another class with him.

He wasn't a bad professor however he mainly just read off of slides. The material isn't too hard as long as you attend lectures and do the readings/homework.

This class was super easy but HORRIBLY managed. Dr. Atiq posts the slides on D2L and then just reads them off in lecture. He assigns homework for extra credit but rarely accepts it as such (no indication which homeworks he will count as extra credit and which ones are "just practice"). He was a poor communicator and deadlines were always a mystery.

Most of his lectures consist of him reading off the slide. However, he does go more in depth, and answers questions quite well. He sometimes goes a little fast, and if you get behind then it's difficult to catch back up.

I like Dr. Atiquzzaman, but I think he teaches this course inefficiently. He could make it A LOT better for Computer Scientists. His exams are hard, the labs are fine (if you get a good partner), and the final project is hard. Be prepared for work.

Had him for Computer Organization (CS 2613). Class was difficult towards the end, but overall was fairly straightforward. If you don't show up for class, you won't know what is going on. Our T.A. made the class, as Atiq likes to use them.
