Dr. Horne is DIFFEREENT! She does tend to ramble about her life and most of the time, spends the whole class doing just that. She does curse but its not to you but rather about things that happen. She loves to vent about things happening and all she wants is for the class to befriend one another and interact with her on a "discussion" type level.

This class did nothing but stress me out and give me a headache. She is an extremely critical grader, if you are not a professional writer I would advise you not to take this class. She talks about her personal life way to much and goes off topic quite a bit. She can be funny, everyone is different but this course and teacher were not cup of tea.

professor horne can be very mean at times. she has a slick and sassy mouth. she curses and she talks about her life throughout class time. she'll make us read a few pages and then she talks. we do a lot of essays. if i could change this class i would.

Is evolved in political movements to a fault, allows personal life to effect the class. Ended up sitting and talking about subjects other the lesson was not taught. Made inappropriate statements about gender and race. Not allow students to state their option without interrupting. Unclear prompts. Easily distracted. Not recommended.

I got an A in her class. She is a horrible teacher, her essays are extremely unclear. Would never take her class again. We do nothing in her class and never did her readings. If you want an easy A take her and go to office hours

she's nice.... like to talk a lot. but you'll learn with her. she expects you to know something about writting, but always guide students when they're lost. Ms. Horne is so sweet but don't try her if you don't wanna have problems. I recomend her if you really like literature.

The first couple of weeks, we didn't learn anything. Mrs. Naana gets distracted easily. She has assigned two essays so far, but hasn't given us clear direction for them. She says she wants to give us a broad topic, but then wants it very specific. I have asked her what she wanted and she can't seem to tell me what she wants.

I was in her ENC1102 class and every class she rambles about random things like pride, and heart. We never actually talked about English. She will call you out in class for random things so be prepared. If you read the stories, and you know how to compare and analyse stories youll do fine. she doesnt like to give below a 70.

Although she is an intelligent woman, the class is boring and her assignments are unclear. Its an english class however ive only heard her speak once about english. Her accent makes it impossible to understand her. She assigns papers and is lenient with deadlines but the instructions are all over the place. dropped out 2nd week of class.

So the class wasnt the worst Ive ever had but it did kinda suck. She talks about random crap and then tries to relate it to her topic and it doesnt work. Her and this chick in class had it out one day. That was entertaining. Shes helpful in her office hours but in class you will be SOOOOO confused and tired of listening to the random stuff. Shes ok

TERRIBLE. Literally makes no sense when she talks and if she did you wouldn't know anyways because of her accent. I had a 3 hour class with her and dropped the third week because I left that class with nothing more than a bad mood. Seriously, if you never listen to anything else in your life listen to this...STAY AWAY!!!!

I am and English Major and was looking forward to taking this course, however that all changed when Horne actually came to class (she was absent the first week). She is a rude and malicious women, who will try to either rip a student a new one in front of the class or try to be a "cool" teacher by cussing. Huge waste of time and financial aid.

Shes an alright teacher. You must come to class and read the textbook. She asked for three in class essays and three out of class essays- all of which analyzing the text. If you do not know how to write analysis papers then dont take her because she will not teach you. Plus she is very crazy and rarely stays on english topics

AWESOME TEACHER, personally i hate english... & i won't lie to you at first you might just think this woman is talking non sence but she relates the poems to real life current events. all you have is six essays to write in class so if youre a good writer you will do perfectly fine. if you are ok, she will help you improve tremendously

Preaches against issues pertaining to whites/males often, gets annoying as I am both. Expects constant feedback in class, which is annoying when no one but me talks. Expects you to read quite a bit between classes. None of my classmates read so I ended up having to pick up on their slack to keep her from yelling at us. Decent but I've had better.
