Comment:

I would not recommend this professor for people who do not have the motivation to read the textbook. Her test are very hard. She doesnt use canvas so you dont know your grade till the very end of the semester. She gives out two extra credit opportunities which are pretty easy but Im not sure how effective they are on your grade.

Comment:

She has good lectures and can make you laugh, but you have to read the textbook in order to do well on the tests. There is a lot of information on the exams that are not mentioned during lecture. She doesn't answer her emails very frequently so you may have to wait a few days to get an answer. Not a hand-holding type prof. Study guides not helpful.

Comment:

Ok so I don't get all the negative reviews on this professor, there is literally no reason why you shouldn't get an A you can earn up to 20 points of extra credit for each exam for the online course. The weekly quizzes aren't hard and honestly most/all the questions were on quizlet. I was most disappointed in the whole class just being powerpoints.

Comment:

She does not have any lecture slides, she expects you to memorize the textbook so you definitely want to get that. She makes her own "notes" for the students, but they suck because they have spelling errors and don't match the textbook so you can tell that they are old. The quizzes help 0% for the exams! The extra credit was the only good thing

Absolutely HORRIBLE. Does nothing to help you get your grade up. Uses God only knows what as test review because no matter how much you study it, nothing will match up. Do NOT take this professor! Wish I would've got out while I could.

I wouldnt recommend this professor at all. She tells you she is worried about your academic performance yet barely responds to emails when trying to set up tutoring sessions. She gives study guides for the tests, but nothing from it is on the actual test she gives. Also horrible with putting in grades so get ready for that shock the last week.

Highly do NOT recommend her, she was hard to talk with over email and incredibly snappy. She usually responded back by the next day but was never very helpful.

I do not understand the bad reviews for this professor. Maybe it's because I had an online class, but this was an easy A. The tests aren't too bad, and if you do the extra credit, you get 20 points added to EACH test. Lowest 2 quizzes are dropped. Read the chapters, do the quizzes, and study from them. Doesn't get much easier than that.

Took her for PCB2610. I read all assigned material, chapters and viewed all videos. Multiple times (both on exams and quizzes) a question was graded as wrong when I knew it was right. Professor fixed it but I was told she could not manually check the rest of the answers. Makes me wonder why she couldn't and if my grade would have been better.

Comment:

All you do is read a chapter and take a quiz. After three chapters, you would take a test. Some of the questions on the tests seemed irrelevant and I even found one answer to be incorrect. The class was poorly designed where the teacher didn't really do anything, but the teacher always wrote me back in a timely manner.

I don't know if there was a language barrier or if she and I were simply unable to communicate, but I found myself re-explaining and/or asking the same questions 2-3 different ways before she understood well enough to answer them. It took her a long time to respond to emails. Many times I had to email her twice to get a response at all.

She is an excellent teacher, and is extremely helpful. There are 3 chapter exams that are worth 20% each so if you fail one, it will be difficult to earn a high grade. She is very understanding, though. I will definitely take her for BSC2011.

She is very nice, helpful and patient. You have to study alot for the tests because she does not cover everything in her lectures; her tests are very specific. You have a good chance of getting an "A" but you have to study.

I had her last summer. HER CLASS WAS VERY DIFFICULT for an intro to biology course! And I like science, she'd give us notes and worksheets and I would study both of them and skim through the book and I would get a D and the second test I got an F! Her tests DO NOT match up with your notes!!! I've never had a class like that! Nice but not good!!!
