Comment:
Differential Equations is very difficult. Sadly, Dr. Nosseir made it even more difficult. He simply reads off a notebook, and doesn't explain anything clearly. Your grade in this class is based entirely off of 2 midterms (20% each), and the final (60%!!!) Going to lecture is honestly pointless. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

I just don't understand why professors like him are even allowed to teach. He barely teaches, and when he tries its so confusing. 2 midterms, 20% each, final 60%!!!!! Very tough grader. I messed up on an exam question in the beginning, so the answer was wrong, but all the steps in between were correct accordingly. I got a Zero for that..

I wanted to like Prof. Nosseir but he is just a horrific professor. The man is very smart but can not teach if his life depended on it. One of the required books is essentially a distilled version of the textbook. His lectures consist solely of scrolling through said notebook. He is pretty short with people who ask questions in a condescending way

He has a bit of a thick accent, but I can still understand him. However, he simply reads off the book and doesn't explain everything thoroughly. If possible, take someone else for this class. Attendance is not mandatory. Both midterms are each worth 20% of your grade, and the final is worth 60%! HW is not mandatory, but it helps for the exams.

Easiest class ever but be ready to teach yourself. Going to class is not worth it. Grades are 40% midterms and 60% final exam.

Do not take any classes with Nagy Nossier. Took his class and he is absolutely worthless. His lectures consist of slides from the book, no explanation. Just shows the problem and the solution. If you don't already know how to do the problems you're in trouble. If you ask a question he only refers you to the book. Worst Instructor I've ever have!

If you attend class every day and actually take notes, you shouldn't have too much trouble in the class. Final is 60% of your grade, so make sure you do all of the homework and ask him for help if you do not understand. I love that homework is not mandatory, but it is necessary.

Difficult to understand at times. Goes through the reader step by step. The homework is optional but it helps prepare you for the exam. The practice test are helpful so, the better you understand them, you will likely get an A.

Nagy isn't the best of lecturers, but I can't really blame him since teaching Differential Equations can be rather difficult. He lectures off the book directly, so it's possible to just learn on your own. He also grades really fairly, and focuses on knowing how to do the question rather than getting the numbers right, which really helpful.

If given a choice, take Dr. Nossier for AE280. He uses a textbook, which he will just briefly go over. My advice, buy the book and learn the material on your own. The content is not very hard, and the exams reflect the practice exams and homework. Not the best lecturer, but he is much better than the other professors for this class.

Class is out of 100 points and curved. 1 final and 2 exams. Tests consists of hw problems and problems similar to hw. 5 - 6 questions on every test. Do well on the first 2 tests, which are straightforward, final was trickier. Its all on differential equations. Laplace and Fourier transform. Easy going and nice professor. Get help early. GL.

The first exam is easy, and it tricks you into not feeling the need to attend lectures. The second half of the class is the most important part and is also extremely difficult. Do not skip class during this time. 40% Exam 1, 60% Exam 2, Homework is collected, but only counts to push you over a grade boundary.

He gives you all the notes that he will present for the semester, but will simply reiterate what's on each page. It's very hard to understand him, even with a mic, so sit up front. One of the most overused lines I've heard from this semester, "If you try it out at home, you'll see it works". If you have to take him, I wish you the best of luck!

Lectures can get boring sometimes, but you learn a lot if you make it through. Very little partial credit on exams but I think it's fair because the questions are very similar to the homework.

I took his AE 123 class and got an A. All I can say is go to class and soak in as much knowledge as possible. All his exams are straight from lectures. Didnt read the book once. Also for the final project all I did was buy a model airplane and tweaked it. Easy A.

this guy is awesome!! if you actually attend his lectures you will gain an enormous amount of insight as he constantly relates fluid properties and theories to real life examples (such as laminar/turbulent flow to a still cigarette, the smoke streaming upward is laminar then eventually turbulent as it disperses). Plus his mustache is godlike.
