Nancy is a wonderful professor! She does an amazing job at teaching and she tells you what you need to know. I considerher a friend now after taking 111 and 112 with her. If she taught the upper levels I would take even more of the language.

Comment:

I had her for Norw 111 and 112 and she was great. Very helpful, the class isn't very hard to do well in, just do the quizlets to get them down. Pop quizzes from time to time. The only downside was that I found her to be an extremely difficult grader on oral exams.

Nancy is great. I had very little writing experience from high school, so I was really nervous for this class. In the end I gained a lot of various writing skills! Nancy did a great job teaching the class/keeping it interesting. She's really willing to help too. I recommend her course for FYW.

Nancy is an amazing person at St. Olaf. She is committed to her students and helping them grow from adolescents to young adults. Her Norwegian classes tend to be easier than Marte's, but I think she is a fairer grader. Nancy is also involved with different student organizations and loves to be involved in community events - use her!

Nancy has inspired me to work hard in learning a language. Languages never really came easy for me but the way she teaches and if you do Quizlet, the amazing flashcard system that she makes flashcards for her students, then you'll not only learn a lot, you'll feel great about accomplishing such a task. She is very warm and caring and very flexible!
