Her class is a lot of reading but if you are interested in the topics then if won't seem like a hassle. She is very knowledgable, laid back, and does not push a one sided agenda. Don't let the work load scare you away from one of her classes!

Dr. Lee is amazing. Hands-down the best religious studies faculty at Elmhurst. I took REL 200, REL 314, and 2 independent studies (REL 492) with her, in addition to taking her South Africa seminar and traveling to Cape Town for a service learning trip! She is passionate about the material and cares about her students. Inspiring. Will miss her class

I never got to meet Professor Lee in person bc I took this class online, but I could tell that she was a wonderful person just from reading her emails. She is quick to respond to any email and isn't strict on turning assignments in late. I genuinely learned a lot from the material she posted online. The online class consists of 4 papers and DB post

Wonderful lady- an actual respectful, kind, and compassionate professor. She warms you up to want to learn about the material instead of treating it like a chore.

She is a kind, warm professor. She is lovely to talk to and cares about her students. The class work is manageable and rather simple to complete. While her class was not difficult, her lectures are long and drag. It can be hard to pay attention, since the material is not that interesting. Overall, good person, but boring class.

Prof. Lee is helpful but it takes her awhile to respond to emails. If you work ahead she is very open to comments on things so that you are guaranteed an A on assignments! It is not a heavy course load but it is a lot of reading. Interesting topic matter and fun discussion board questions but make sure you watch the syllabus for due dates!

Prof Lee is enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Her remarks are interesting and insightful, encouraging you to examine your preconceptions and better understand how translators and scholars have shaped current religious thinking. Expect to read and write... this class satisfies the Writing 300/400 skills tag but she makes it interesting and enjoyable.

Professor Lee cares about her students. Her classes are pretty straight forward & easy: A couple of homework assignments, a midterm exam (multiple choice, short answer, matching) and a Final Paper. Good-hearted person. TAKE HER for a Intro to Biblical. She tries to make class interesting. Helped me become interested in Bible.

Professor Lee is a good teacher she helps you if you need it. However, she goes off topic a lot and you never finish all the material on time. Because you never go through all the material she makes you stay later in class than your supposed to. She writes her own books and doesnt make you read them unlike other professors. Overall I recommend her.

She is very nice and very open minded. Sometimes class is very interesting, other times it is very slow. She grades very fairly and the work isn't too difficult, although it is time consuming. I'm not sure how much I liked the class...but professor Lee is great!

Dr. Lee is so caring towards her students and she is willing to help anyone who comes to her. It's easy to attain a good grade and she's very helpful if needed. however, class content can get kind of dry at times if religion is not your thing. she is VERY passionate about her teaching.

You want to be on her good side. She is a caring, intelligent individual yet can be a dull lecturer. The work gets rather demanding, but I will agree with the person below who said she grades fairly in the end. A specific complaint of mine being that she wrote no notes on my final research paper. Not easy.
