Class is a joke or more specifically Exams are a joke. Exams are not about whether you know/grasp the material but whether you completely memorized the PowerPoint Slides. You can get an A in the class and not know anything about Risk Management or get a D in the class and know a lot about the topics. Rote Memorization is all that matters.

Guy lacks personality & understanding. He's useless when it comes to being helped. He's stuck up & is too strict for no reason. Likes suckups and is a poor quality "professor." Worst teacher I've ever had; dropped class. Sad one has to take 2 classes with him to get into the program. I wonder how many people have changed their mind about the major?

This class could be taught better but his exams arent that tough.multiple choice, true and false,and a couple of short answers.just gotta know the slides and read bolded terms in textbook. also have to write 2 papers. go to his office hours for help or else u will probably fail the papers.3 exams,2 papers,drops lowest grade. not too hard to get a B

Hes not that bad at all. All you gotta do is study his slides for one exam (Stil need 2 study a good amount for 1st one tho) and be organized for the 2nd open notes exam which u cud use everything, except ur laptop. 20 percent of the grade is pretty much just being there or printing out papers. The people giving these ratings are just reli lazy.

Alright everyone - he's very arrogant. Who cares? He's a pretty nice guy, especially when you go to him for help. If you go to class on time, pay attention to the lectures (which are interesting) add to the slides, and go to him for help on the essays, it's not a tough class at all. Tests are tricky, but he curves them 8 or 10 points. I got a B+.

Professor Dougherty has a bad rep amongst students which I do not understand why. He clearly tells you how to do both papers and gives you the information. There is no reason why you should not get A's on both. His exams are tricky due to true or false but theres 3 exams and 2 papers and he drops the lowest of the 5. Just listen to his directions

Doesn't take attendance but gives suprise quizes (have your notes with you).2 papers unclear with instructions. Get them done early and bring them to him to go over with you before the due date. Tests are fairly easy as long as you study. There is a final but if your satisfied with your grade don't need to take it. He drops your lowest grade.

horrible human being. before taking this class i was very interested in the topic and now i have been turned off. likes you if you kiss up and answer questions in class. you can, and probably will fail one of the two papers, so count on dropping one of them. tests are also hard because of confusing true or false questions.

This guy is such a jerk. He MAKES you go to class (and buy a book HE wrote) just so he can spout boring irrelevant material. Has not changed his teaching style or updated his material in years and does not tailor his lectures to the interests of students. Basically, unless you want to own your own gym, this class is completely useless!!

This applies to Risk MGMT also as they are almost the same class. Really nice guy, but comes off as arrogant if you seek help. Stickler for the rules of the class, but if you follow them you can pass.
