Amazing professor. Really cares about you and wants to see you improve. Do NOT take this course though if you are looking for an "easy" art credit. It is challenging an rewarding, only if you like what you are doing.

Prof Ruth was a very personable guy. He introduced art in a very new and creative manner, and trained a layman's eye to become skilled. He is very well liked by the students and he spends quality time to make sure you enjoy the subject.

Great course! Phenomenal practice to really build an artistic strength in color configurations and how to maneuver acrylic paints. If you commit and put in the work (keeping in my how fun painting can be) you will have exponential results.

I had him for Color & Comp. He was really knowledgeable and knew what he was teaching. He's very approachable and is willing to help and give feedback when you need it. It's only a difficult class if you wait until the last minute on projects (like any art class). Get the homework done (even if it may seem tedious) and you'll see improvement.

Nick really knows what he's doing. He's skilled at what he does and he teaches it well. There was a lot of work involved in the course, but his expectations though high, were not over the top. He was always passionate about the material and engaging in his teaching.

Professor Ruth is a great professor to have. He really gets you to think in classes. He assigned a lot of work compared to other freshman seminars: 6 papers, 1 research paper. However, despite the fact that it is nearly impossible to get a solid A on a paper, he is an engaging prefessor. I was always interested in the course material throughout.
