Do not take!! She is terribly unclear about what she's trying to teach. She does not follow any outline as far as learning is concerned. Spends way too much time on online examples. Nice lady but horribly unclear.

Comment:

Gudz was very sweet and very funny. I can't say whether or not she explained things well, because I took this class for review and so I already knew everything. Many of the people around me seemed to struggle quite a bit, but that might have been a lack of effort on their part. Class was fun, though many lectures got pretty boring. Good overall.

Comment:

Senora Gudz is a great teacher. She understand that her class isn't the only one you may be in, and she is flexible with due dates. She is most concerned that you try, and that you are respectful in her classroom. She first language isn't English, so sometimes she doesn't understand a question, but she does her best to help you :)

Comment:

Senora Gudz is an extremely nice teacher. She is, however, a bit difficult if you have never taken a spanish class prior to hers. She is willing to help her students, and is good with grading. She gets a bit forgetful though and her lectures can be a little repetitive and at times a bit boring. Yet she is a good teacher and I would recommend her.

Comment:

Took Spanish 1 & then 3 from Sra. Gudz. She is a really good teacher. She understands the language is difficult and wants to help. The exams are mostly vocab & grammar and there are some presentations each semester. She really cares and that is obvious. She can get a little lost sometimes in her thinking, but pulls it back in. Lab/wkbk is required.

Sra. Gudz is a great teacher and a very nice lady. She is from Uruguay making Spanish her primary language, however also fluent in English. She is very helpful, kind, and wants all of her students to succeed. Her class is extremely fun and she is a fairly easy grader.

Sra. Gudz is great. She expects you to work hard and pay attention, but if you do, you will succeed in the class. She is quite funny and does well teaching. She expects you to memorize vocabulary for tests. Tests are mostly scantrons.

She really is a nice, funny lady and cares about her students, but she just isn't a good teacher. Her tests are extremely hard, and it's hard to understand what she is trying to say as she is teaching it to you. I've noticed that people that already know spanish find it really easy. If you don't just don't take it, cuz you won't learn much more

She was a great professor, however she tends to put her students on the spot infront of the class. I attended class regularly and she loved me. She sometimes wasn't very clear but the book definitley clarify's those things!! good luck!

I took her for Spanish 1 and 3- got As in both. Her tests are rather easy, she gives out lots of homework but it is all done in class- either when she hands it out or next class, she doesn't give a cumulative final, and if your grade is borderline she will often give one a chance for an extra push. No makeup exams, miss = cumulative final to makeup

I think that the initial for Sra. Gudz on this page is wrong. Her first name is Betty and she is my favorite professor at Sierra. She is so sweet, funny, and nice. I thought it was hilarious when she made fun of the people that didnt do their homework. I am waiting to take Spanish 4 until she teaches it.

She is a terrible teacher and I wouldn't recommend anybody taking her class. You have to be her pet student if you want to do well in her class. She is the rudest spanish teach I have ever encountered and that is saying something! It's not that her test are hard, it her attitude towards some students that is truly appalling. Be careful in her class

Sra. Gudz is a great teacher. As long as you show up, do lab.(and homework), and pay attention, you should get a good grade. She gives little bits of extra credit here and there, but nothing big. Tests are fairly easy, and always have bonus points. I would take her again in a heartbeat!

I'd to admit that she was very accomidating when it came to needing to make-up a test & while she was "nice," she wasn't that nice. I did get an A & I'd still never take her again. She only favors boys & if she finds something to dislike you about, she'll pick on you & single you out for the entire semester.
